Well leave then FFS They should have given the role to an actress

Lost star Evangeline Lilly has revealed that she was glad to leave Hawaii when filming stopped on the series due to the WGA strike.

The actress has suffered constant allergies while making the cult show and said she was desperate to escape when the industrial action began last November.

She is quoted by WENN as saying: "As soon as I found out about the strike I got off the island. Island fever is not a joke. It's something everyone in Hawaii experiences.

"I'm allergic to Hawaii. Everything there makes me react in some way. I have spent the last four years with allergic reactions, or sick.

"On the way out, a spore or something got in my eye. The pink wet flesh inside my eye just closed up. I started to see fuzzy and everything was out of focus."

Production will now re-commence after the WGA announced the end of the strike earlier this week.

I like Evangeline but you would think she would brave it out and take some allergy medicine rather than complain about being in such an amazing place.

Christ god forbid something isn't completely perfect in Evie's perfect little world earning s''tloads of money working on a tropical island with her equally as rich friends. It doesn't seem to matter that some people have to actually word hard.

It was probably just a throw away comment, perhaps taken out of context - at least I hope it was.

Whilst they do have dramas and issues to deal with like most of the population, they are extremly lucky to be able to do what they love for a living (which i presume is acting), and on a tropical island no-less. I guess it's easy to lose sight of that once you've been there for a couple of years, but she should be humbled to be in such a position - especially given the fact that LOST was her first big break and all that..

However, it does sound like a throw away comment which the reporter has latched onto. Now Naveen on the other hand..have you heard that guy? Whilst Evie is somewhat of a fan of the show (I'm led to believe), Naveen sounds as if he cannot wait to see the back of Lost and Hawaii!

But yeah, allergies from a paradise island are a real pain when there's people who don't know where there next meal is coming from.

All she did was point out that she gets allergies and so left Hawaii during the break. I sometimes say out loud when my hayfever's bad as well. It doesn't mean I think I'm the most unfortunate person in the world ... it's just a thing to say.
