Kate - Best and Worst Season

Worst for me has to be season three, she took the damsel-in-distress act so far it made me want to

Season two was probably her best, it was the slightest bit interesting to see her get hissy about Sawyer and Ana (note I didn't actually say interesting )

But yeah, anyhows, 2 / 3

This is hard one, i dont actually think she has had a bad season. Each one has given something new to her character so its a bit difficult to reply...

It's got to be season 1 for the best? I mean, like many other characters, mystery is a great line of interest. And she had it in abundance during season 1. I really loved watching her play guys off of each other. And I don't just mean Sawyer and Jack - Sayid and Charlie were all 'fluttered eyed' at. She was very good at playing the victim until the last possible moment when she'd knee you in the, erm, crown jewls. She was very manipulative and very flirty during season 1 and that caused some nice tension...

I think it's been pretty much down hill for her character since then. I really like Evie as an actress, but I think Kate has been overexposed and underused (if that's possible?) by that I mean, the writers have focused on her too much, and in doing so have only focused on small portions of her life - the same portion. I mean, the same can be said of most, if not all, characters - but it just seems over the top with Kate. The flashbacks really stereotype the characters don't they? A con man, a doctor, a fugitive, a rock star...

Neither season 2 or 3 was very good for Kate, but based on the flashbacks, and the spare-toolness of her in season 3, I guess I'll vote that as her worst.

They really shouldn't have given Kate 3 flashbacks in one season, especially when others characters could have maybe done with them.

I couldn't agree more - esspecially with how much screen-time she got with the kidnapping/caging at the start of season three and how little some characters were used in comparison; Sayid, Jin, Sun, Claire, Hurley all had quite short roles to play and could have used her time more effectivly than she did; I mean - we know all of Kate's past now, surely? Whereas all of the above have many more avenues that could be explored.

S3 was definately Kate's worst season imo, because all she did was whine about Jack and where he was and then spent all her time bouncing between Jack and Sawyer which got very boring very quickly. She did nothing whatsoever to make me like her character in S3, with some highlights of hers being sleeping with Sawyer just because Jack was having dinner with Juliet and blurting out secrets she had been entrusted with to Jack because, once again, she was jealous of him being with Juliet

S1 was probably her best one, because she was a member of the A team with more purpose to her actions than to find Jack and get it on with Sawyer, and until her dissapointing flashback telling us what she did to make her go on the run she had one of the most intriguing backstories of any of the characters.

That's what I was telling - she is just too much into Jack. It's destroying her as a character and as a person as well. But I liked her in all three seasons.

Season 2 was her Best Season would have been Wicked if she Had Found out about Sawyer and Ana Lucia.
I dont think she's perticulary Bad in Season 3 and i quite like Kate but the whole seeing Juliet and Jack HAVING DINNER TOGETHER and then dashing into Sawyer's Tent to sleep with him WTF was that about??? Even Evangeline didnt understand that one!
Also the whole am i pregnant thing in the end of S3 Well thats what happens when you have unprotected Sex several times Kate!!!!
Jack actually saw her and Sawyer together and he didnt go and Sleep with Juliet did he ?
No (Whether Juliet would have done it is another story lol)

She was really good in Season 1, she wa sinteresting, she got involved, her hair resembled less of a thorn bush and she was actually cool. But then she got bogged down in the "love triangle", and she lost any semblance of interest she may have had. Her backstory slowly became tedious after What Kate Did (a revelation that came far too soon) and she basically lost her interest to everyone that didn't like the "love triangle" (pretty much everyone outside of the US). She was, and probably still is, one of the best characters on Lost, but sadly she got bogged down and interest just waned and she will unfortunately never get it back.

I agree with you 100% on this! The same sort of situation goes for season 1. I would say that was the best season for all of them as well.
