The Need to KILL Kate

*I should stress that by 'kill' im not promoting murder..i mean 'kill' in terms of her getting axed from the show/killed off..

Anyway, but to the point.. Despite this being Evi's best performing season and Kate having some decent moments (mostly pre-hiatus), she has once again decended into a shambles of a character (in some peoples view).

Dont get me wrong, it's not just the lack of hygiene in licking other peoples spoons and it's not just her using men for cheap sex..it's like..where can we go with her? Was i the only one who sat through that mind-numbing 3x15 flashback and wondered why? how? What? Wha?

Has Kate not reached her peak? Havent we scaled the heights of her storyline yet?

Perhaps im jumping the gun and she'll come back to prove me wrong..but my views are oftne in line with the great John Lockes..and the look of contempt and disgust that he gave her in 3x15 remains in my mind and more so his finale words to her..

(something like): "Sorry Kate..i tried.."

Well..the same applies to me..umm..sorry Kate..i tried..but you're like dull.

Well I havent seen any of S3... but the writers of programmes such as this very rarely kill off a character who is, or was, a main character... it would be like killing off Homer in The Simpsons, the programme just wouldnt be the same.... now i cant say anything about her story line.... but, could you really imagine Lost without her?? Dont you think there would be a hole left in her place....??

Erm no I still think there is some potential for a story line here

I think shes still to take her own 'leap of faith' trial, and of course for the Sawyer Jack Juilet dynamic. And if shes preggers...

They'll never axe her. Not in the near future anyway. There are wayyy too many people out there who apparently only watch the show for the whole "oooh jate/skate/lockate is so going to happen" thing.

I think a 'hole' is when someone like Eko or Ana left..i mean they were so not done..and their flashbacks told us that imo.

But Kate..well i know what you're saying..she is a main character in Lost..but i dont feel that its deserved. I feel that JJ (bless his cotton socks) wanted a certain 'look' for Kate..and with Evi, he got what he was looking for. I feel that had she not been elevated to the main female lead, she would've been axed ages ago.

Tbh i dont know where my dislike of Kate ends and my disinterest in Evi begins. All i know is that she gets outdone everytime she steps on screen with a powerhouse like 'Juliet (E. Mitchel)' or some of the other ladies. And although her vunerability in acting does come in handy for Kates character, overall i find her dull and boring. I dont she where she can go.. i mean, weve done the Jate/skate thing now..shouldnt we just put it to rest.

Afterall the creators always say that theyd like to end Lost before it gets stale..well, should they not apply the same viewpoint to individual characters?:P

it would be nice to get rid of her for a bit but i know i'd miss her if they did.

I think the only issue I'd have with losing Kate would be which character (Female) I would hate the most next...but I suppose Sun could fill that position. Poor Jin

Anyways, if I'm honest, I'd like to see what Lost was like without Kate, and so maybe she should get kidnapped (ha) again, BUT, we don't see her for a while.
And then, if that works well....we kill her...well, not us personally, but somebody. Lol.

I think it would have huge influences on the stroyline, and especially between Jack and Sawyer. We could have some amazing stuff going on with them...seeing how they react, and how they deal with each other.

It would be nice, but I don't know if it'll ever happen.

If she went... who would be the "dominant female", or the main female character... i mean (i think) Jack, Sawyer and Locke are more main than say Charlie and Jin, even though they are main characters too... i dont think Claire would be the new main female, Sun wouldnt... the main female needs to be hard and ready for anything, which kate is IMO.

I pretty much agree with Matt

Although i do feel she should be banned from flashbacks for a very long time and she could perhaps get a bit less screen time on the island and they could use some of the other characters (some of them are being under-used unnecessarily most notably Locke in S3) more freely
