She gives the show something. That is the girl next door approach. Yeah, i think that her flashbacks have climaxed, but i feel that the writers could maybe go further back and dig up some compelling flashbacks to show a new side to her. Her raunchy scenes with sawyer and jack are really good to watch.... yeah..... (pulls himself back to reality) and now with the death of ana lucia theres not enough hot totty on screen, so keep her and give her a new dimension writers.

I wouldn't vore to kill her off but I wouldn't mind seeing less of her.

Someone said she has potential - I strongly disagree. She once had plenty, as a cold, female, fugitive sounds quite interesting. However, any change of character at this stage would be terrible writing (any change that would appease viewers would hardly come under an 'arc'), and generally viewers don't take to character changes very well either.
At the moment she just tags along so it looks like she's involved in the plot, and it's terrible. Much less screen time and less forcing her into the plot would be better than killing her off.
She had the most appearances in Season 3, incidentally.

Wow you guys! Kate is not my favorite character either but why is everybody so quick to judge her actions and morals and praise others? They all have flaws just like we do. Kate may have used Sawyer and Jack occassionally but she also tried to save Sawyers life once and has risked her own to save Jacks. She is not the only user either.
Ana Lucia slept with Sawyer just to get his gun without giviing a damn about his feelings. What is moral about that?
Locke conned another man into killing for him.
The list goes on and on. That is the beauty of the show. No, Kate should not be killed off of the show. She has daddy issues too you know. My guess is that her dad(stepdad), whatever, didn't just put his hands on her mom. She has her reasons for her actions just like the rest of the characters do. As for Evangeline's acting, she may not be the best on the show, but she certainly isn't the worst.

Interesting theory, although didn't Kate herself say that Wayne never touched her?

I think the issue with Evangeline's acting is that she's the lead actress - as a result alot of expectation comes with this. For many, her calibur of acting probably doesn't align with both her characters status in the show, or the amount of money she gets paid in comparison to Elizabeth Mitchell, say.

I should also point out that the creators of the show are also to blame for this, imo. However, Kate is clearly important to the overall arc, or she would surely have been killed off by now, so hopefully things will improve on her front.

I agree that she also has daddy issues, and interestingly it could be argued that she had a double-dose of daddy issues, since she had two daddies.

You react the same way like the ones who attacked Ana on this forum (nothing personal really ). You just don't feel the connection with Kate that's all. She had some ups and downs but those small things make her personality great! I like her and I will always like. As I said, me and her are like 97% the same. Plus we share the same life style and I understand her every move and the reason for doing it.
