Im really struggling to come to terms with this [what appears to be a] grim outlook for Ana.. ..I mean her character has been through so much..she had made mistakes and redeemed herself and made more mistakes..but then..THEN she had finally put to bed her demons and they make Michael shoot her! ..I could swing for JJ right now. [joking J ]

But anyway..lets assume that Ana is going to die [though i still have hope in my heart that this is not the case]..then basically they have got rid of the BEST femal character in my view..oh and not to mention Libby [who looks in a critical state herself]..so thats 2 strong female characters that they have potentially disposed of in one fail swoop.

Well, good news right? Now weve got even MORE screen time for Kate! [excuse me if i dont get TOO excited ]

*sigh* ..Kate has done nothing this season..she might as well be a redshirt or a whisper. imo.

Anyway..out of the women, who would you have rather it had been at the end of Mike's bullets?

I didn't want any of them to be killed yet, they all have so much they could have done or we could have learned about them...saying that, i wouldn't miss Kate!

Though Ana had a change of heart at the last second and decided not to put a bullet in Henry I dont think she quite got over her demons. The line "I couldnt even kill him" says it all, like it was a perfectly normal thing to do. JJ didnt write the epi btw

Sorry Roco but Ana is dead, she died on screen before Libby even showed up. If there was any chance of her surviving I doubt Mike would blow his cover by allowing it to happen, he stood there and watched as she died on the verge of tears.

The others wanted Ana dead, she was dangerous and a loose cannon. I'm sure they couldnt care less about Kate much like the viewers so she's unlikely to be an assasination target anytime soon. Ana biting it makes the most sense, but Libby? Pure shock value!

I too thought that killing Kate was the best move story wise as shes finished as a character.

It seems as soon as a female gets interesting or is higher status then Kate they get shot. Must be in the contracts!

It's still JJ's baby..i will still hold him accountable if anything happens to her! *shakes fist in the presumed direction of JJ * [joking, he still rocks]

But down to the serious business - personally i think that she DID get over her demons..i recall Locke saying that "It looks like the devils chasing ya" and she replied "thats because he is" [or something like that in TWT, i think it was]..anyway, i think that by finally admitting to herself that she 'couldnt do it'..that she didnt have the hunger or the lust for revenge anymore..well, i reckon this is a major thing and signified the complet 'arc' of Ana-Lucia. She had finally lost her vengence..not only that but she simply didnt have it in her anymore..and thats MORE important than 'choosing' not to do it..because 'choice' still could convey that she 'wanted' too but just didnt [and so still had hatred inside of her] but by her not even being able to do it because she simply 'couldnt'..well, that shows that her demons had finally left her. I was so proud.

She may be dead to you but she's not dead to me..as long as theres a chance then i have hope. She's a strong girl..she can make it. We just need Jack to get back to the hatch in mega quick time..he can fix her..

Im sorry but Ana's [potential] death doesnt make any sense to me..i mean what have they [potentially] left us with? ..Rose - fair enough she's a brilliant actress and character..Claire - weighed down by Aaron but is capable of brilliance, is Emilie...and Kate..i mean..KATE!??? :hairpull: Afterall the missions and scrapes that shes been through and she's still alive and kicking?? She must have someone looking down on her that one...and i bet you it's not Tom! ..or Wayne

JJ is returning to write and direct in Season 3 so maybe the first thing he does is sack Carlton Cu"r"se.

It could of been anyone apart from Ana, i would have been disappointed if it was claire but any of the others and i wouldn't of minded.

I think the producers are sexist. The only "safe" women are an old married woman and two mothers, one expecting.

Then theres the love interest.

ALl the independant ones are dead or been shot looking like they are dead.

lol I dont know why but the concept or Rose coming in the hatch after Michael had shot Ana just seems very amusing and wouldnt have been dramatic at all. "Michael? Hone-" *bang* *bang* *Rose is ressurected by the magic island and promises not to tell anyone about it as long as Mike does the same*

Ana completed her arc, at least she got that much unlike Shannon and Libby who were killed off in the middle of theirs. However they say the island gives them tests, and though she had prevented Sayid shooting Henry she then goes on to allow Michael to do so and even hands him the tools to do it (gun and combination) so perhaps she hadnt lost the lust for revenge after all, she just didnt want herself (or Sayid) to be the one who pulled the trigger.

Kate wouldnt have been much of a loss, but if you shoot wood it doesnt die does it?

and it was nice of Sayid to mention Shannon last night for a change - I remember there date on the beach. It was the day Boones died!!

I still think that once dead the characters can still play a part:

Libby, if dead, can still appear in Hurleys flashback
Shannon can appear in Walt flashback

Ana.....erm....well I.....could erm......nah shes finished!!
