Just as everyone is getting ready to pay their last repects to Ana and Libby, Locke decides his legs are fully healed, swing his bag on his back and heads off into the distance, this was unkown to anyone else. So where was he heading off to?

I'm not sure he was actually going anywhere, I think he just wanted to get away from the funeral and from the crowd.

Off topic [a little] but did anyone see the comparison between when they burnt the fuselage back in season 1, Jack was sitting on the outskirts by himself [was this when he saw his father?]. This time it was Locke who was sitting by himself when [you could say] he should have been paying his respects

Yeah I noticed that, quite good how the producers have done that I think. I expected him to be in the crowd paying his respects though, granted he didn't know them very well, but he was starting to get to know Ana.

I still don't think that he would be welcomed if he went to the funeral. After what happened between him and Jack at Boone's, and given his tense relationship with Charlie, it would have caused a lot of tension which wouldn't have been fair on morners such as Hurley.

Plus Jack'll probably blame him for the murders eventually so it is best that he stay as far away as possible.

Yeah Jack probably would do that knowing him and I'm guessing Locke has bad ideas of funeral's since Boone's, he didn't go to Shannon's either did he?

Locke was never that close to Ana or Libby, and no doubt he felt partly responsible for her death for not telling anyone the truth about Henry's attack on her. He probably would have felt quite uncomfortable there, and didn't see what good he would have done. Saying that however, it would have been only polite for him to at least show his face! But then again I doubt anyone noticed his absence...

I'm not sure where he's heading off to now, but I have a feeling he may try and establish contact with the Others based on Henry's claims, especially now he's been crushed by the discovery in the Pearl hatch...he probably saw the funeral as a good opportunity to sneak away when everyone's attention was elsewhere.

But now that Locke's seemingly gone off without saying a single word, and with Eko taking up residence in the hatch and loosing more friends then he's making them, the question is is will anyone else find out about the Pearl hatch? Will Eko mention it, or will he keep the knowledge to himself because of his dream/vision/belief in the important work he has to do?

But the way he ripped off his leg binder things suggests to me hes off on a mission. Time to save the world! Maybe hes off to operate the pearl? LoL.

But if he does, he will be on the outside and an outside of a circle! (cue laughter).

Hehe, yay 5th post!

Oh dear, I can see it now...

All the losties are in 10 different hatches doing all these 'must do' things. And then at the end of season 5 Locke says....

"Did none of you know about the pearl? It's all an experiment"

Seriously guys, talk to each other
