So did Locke kill Eddie? We saw him declare himself as a hunter and he was obviously struggling with the idea, hence the incessant shaking as he aimed the gun.

If he hadn't killed him wouldn't he have been jailed for his part in the cannabis farm? Which could have led to the dead-end job at the box factory or would he have been let off lightly because he wasn't the ringleader?

If he did kill him then surely the cops would have known who done it? I doubt his family would have protected him and he didn't look too much younger in the flashback to have come out of jail.

If Eddie survived being shot though, couldn't Locke have been given an attempted murder sentance, hence not being in prison?

He said that bad things happen though - was he talking about Eddie or the cannabis cult? It makes me think that someone else killed Eddie if Locke couldn't clean up the mess.

I voted 'Other'. All I mean by it is 'OH PLEASE I HOPE NOT'. I really don't want him to have killed Eddie....

Locke is/was one of the few good ones on the island.

I don't think Locke killed him. I wonder if Locke decided to protect him in the end, or got caught in the crossfire somehow, getting his wheelchair-inducing injury? I'd like to think we are closer to finally getting that answer!

Thats what i thought, Locke lowered the gun but it went straight to the LOST sign, so i doubt he did any shooting...

Unless Locke goes on a crazy rampage to find Eddie in his next Flashback, for getting his 'family' locked up

I don't think he killed him.... but I think that Eddie may have gone ahead and arrested John and his friends anyway....

It is vaguely hopeful that the last act we saw was Locke's lowering the gun, but I would've preferred to be quite certain that the very next thing he did wasn't raising it again and shooting Eddie in the skull.

As soon as Locke raised the gun towards Eddie I just shook my head and pleaded for him not to fire...it would just be heartbreaking to see Locke as a cold blooded murderer!

But I don't think that Locke did shoot him, because Locke just isn't that heartless. I can understand his great desire to safeguard his new family and clean up the mess he made so that things could go back to the way they were, but Locke just doesn't have it in him to be so ruthless and selfish. Like with Boone, I don't think that Locke would ever intentionally sacrifice someone just to fulfill his own needs...he's just too good a person for such a thing
