So...i guess we can rule out the idea that Lockes legs are powered by electromagnetism then?

Or can we..?

I mean, in the closing sequences of LTDA, we see Locke standing there looking bewildered and frightened as all hell breaks loose around him..

But look at the way he's standing..it could be argued that he is merely trying to keep his balance due to the hatch shaking..or it 'could' be argued that he's just about to be propelled to the electromagnetic wall along with all the other metallic objects..

Afterall, if his legs were fixed using the electromagnetic energy then he would be pulled towards the wall wouldnt he..hmmm..i guess, we'll have to wait and see..

Ooooo, I think I missed this theory...BUT I like it.

It makes sense, and yeah, I can see what you mean. Especially about the whole trying to stop himself being magnatised....lol, if that makes sense.

Hmmm, it'll be interesting to see if it's right.

..i guess he may have just been trying to keep balance but then Eko didnt adopt a similar pose..

And I can see what you mean...Locke and Eko did look very different in such a scene.

Yeah thats the thing..with Lost, you just never know. And hey, Locke once said it's good to think outside of the box and whatnot..who am i to doubt him?

Not 'metal' per se..rather that his legs were scientifically 'fixed' (and controlled - 1.19) using the exceptional electromagmetic energy derived and extracted from the island by Dharma..or HF..

This would technically make his legs magnetic. Since i would presume the energy from the electromagetism wouldve awakened the stimuli and nerves in his legs and enabled him to walk once more. This may be how 'they' seemingly controlled his legs in 1.19 - by turning off the magnetic charge and in effect rooting his legs to the ground via a negative magnetic charge..

Haha, I love the way he calls Sawyer, 'James'. You can tell Sawyer doesnt like it when he does that!

As for the Boone thing, well Locke regrets the whole tragic event. He knows that he was perhaps too overzealous in his search for the beachcraft..and that perhaps clouded his judgement. But in saying that what else could the poor man do? His legs had mysteriously packed up on him and Boone was just there. Whatsmore he wanted to prove himself to Locke. And at least he died an honourable death..he showed us all that the hero really does lie within.

Just like John, i still miss Boonie. I dont think John has quite been the same since he died.

And i like the concept of Locke growing on you..but take care of him, he needs plenty of water and love and care
