Apparently the deaths of the beloved Ana-Lucia and the likes of Shannon and Libby are, in part, supposed to illustrate the fact that when it comes to Lost, no-one is safe..

Hmm..so does that really include the likes of Jack, Sawyer and the mudane Kate?

Im not too sure. I mean, i can see Jack being there til the bitter end. As for Sawyer, the creators would have hell on their hands if they ever killed him off. Perhaps they underestimate just how many lusting female (and Male) fans Holloway/Sawyer has?

And as for Kate..she's the 'lead lady' (apparently) and so theyre not going to axe her are they!?

So why are they lying..do they just want to keep the actors on their toes?

Or do they have a(nother) big shock in store!?

Can you imagine Kate falling from a cliff or drowing at sea?

Hmm two ways of looking at that:

From real life view, they cant, would lose viewers who love the characters and watch for them. They will build up mini love for characters on the side and crush them like bugs;

From pure Lost fantasy view, no one is safe, except those who the others need maybe?... who knows!!

Thats a very blunt view aint it?

lol, but that was at the begining of S1. The creators have since warned us that no-one is safe, after the deaths of 3 main characters this season *catches theory(?) and throws it back through window :P *

I've heard rumours that Kate's going, and we can pretty much guarantee at least one main character leaving in S3 but not Sawyer I hope.

Jack is the MAIN character in LOST so he won't get killed off anytime soon. Kate is also very imortant to LOST.

Although AL and Shannon and Libby were killed off, they WEREN'T main characters imo. They were 2nd tier, in that, they can become heavily involved in storylines, but ultimately they weren't untouchable. I liked them all, but they weren't main eventers like Sawyer, Locke, Jack, Kate, Sayid, Hurley.

As long as it's not Locke, Eko, Henry, Zeke, Desmond (yes, i love him now :P fickle..me?

I have a feeling that Eko and Kate are gonna be the ones to go Season 3. Kate because she's considered MAIN but doesn't actually do much. And Eko because he has such presence, however I wouldn't be surprised if he gets killed off in a heroic attempt to save someones life. Or something like that.

Same for me B. Sawyer is my second fave so gaving him gone will damage my appeal for Lost a little.

But can you imagine with Charlie?! I'd never be on here.

I actually feared Eko would be killed in the finale. So glad i was wrong!

Not sure what S3 has in store for Eko..perhaps they'll have him gradually lose his faith like Locke did in S2

..im not sure i could go through that again (as fun and interesting as it was to watch)

Like many off you have said I don't think Jack or Kate will be going anywhere soon. I also don't think Sawyer, Hurley, Locke, Des, 'Henry' or Eko will be dying any time soon.

I think maybe Rose or Bernard will die this season and maybe a main 'other'
