We all love Lost. But who, in your opinion, who is the main reason behind the genius that is Lost?

Although i don't think that Damon Lindelof gets as much credit as he deserves seeing he writes most of the episodes and helped create it I voted for JJ Abrams because he is the main driving force behind it and created it and everything like that.

Of course its us.

Cause if it wasn't for us, they would have gone with some of the theories we then came up with, and because we come up with these theories they have to go and change direction just so its a surprise to us!

What I'm saying is if it wasn't for the fans, this wouldn't be a mystery show at all, it would be just a couple of guys on a beach growing a stuble

Well its got to be Damon and JJ.

But, really you don't create a hugely insane popular (still cult) tv show, by yourself.

Really it is everyone on that list. The great actors, the great dialogue used. The little clues that keep the hardcore fans happy, and the action packed moments which rock the mainstream. Thats why its Cult, thats why its lost.

Definately the fans!!

Without us, Lost would have been over in a year. Look at the Lost experience, this has grown out of the fact that lost fans NEED more information, people all over the world have collaborated and worked together to solve the mysteries of lost.

There have also been lots of in jokes in the series which are there as a result of fan discussions (remember Arzt conversation with Hurley about why he wasn't losing weight)

I am sure that our theories and ideas help to inspire the writers, who knows, maybe they don't have a n answer to the mystery, but are waiting for a good idea on a discussion board!!

I pretty much agree with a mixture of the views posted above.

I agree with Nick and Orig in that JJ is THE MAN..since it's his brainchild and he is the driving force behind this magnificent show. Thank God the man was born! *JJ, I salute you sir!*

I also agree with 108 and MP in that we, the fans, are key because we help fuel and challenge the likes of JJ and Damon. If it wasnt for our enthusiasm and love for the show then they would have no-one to really push them. Also if ever they need constructive critism then they only need visit one of the Lost forums and fan site that exist.

Furthermore i agree with Orig that everyone on that list has to get credit..i guess it's a bit like the 'circle of life' isnt it :P

I definatly Damin Lindelof's role is underrrated and J.J Abram's role in it over rated. Admittly they both got it started, and JJ. brilliantly directed the Pilot, but I think the main work comes from Damon Lindelof, he is the one that writes a large percentage of the script.

Sure, one of them came up with the whole idea. But Lost isn't just a single idea. There are more plotlines in Lost than it is humanly possible for one man to see all at once, and therefore the entire writing crew, creative team, and actors should get the credit!

Lost was originally a mini-series by JJ and Damon which they expanded because ABC loved the idea.

So you have to say these two or maybe the ABC president!!

The fans keep it on air

By the way the redshirts are the SAME people if you look carefully.

Bald guy with te bermuda shorts, Steve, the blonde girl with the blue stripey top have been with lost since the beginning!
