Jin's Emotional Baggage

All the Losties have emotional baggage or personal demons. Jin feels inferior because he married a rich man's daughter and has to do his dirty work. He also has a complex about his humble fisherman father.

Assuming Jin might still be alive, do you think he will ever find out he was the son of a prostitute? If so, will it screw him up even more or will his new found closeness to Sun and the discovery of their baby daughter over-ride all that?

I just can't believe Jin has gone!

I don't believe that he's really dead, and I won't until it's made absolutely certain on the show... A few characters were already 'presumed dead' at some point, but turned out to be alive (Charlie in S1, Locke in S3, Mikhail at least twice...)

Isn't it ironic that Jin had the best, nicest father by far out of all the Losties, but he had issues and felt ashamed because of his father being from the 'lower class'? But Jin became a new person on the island, and I think the new Jin knows that status in society is not the most important thing in the world, and would not be ashamed of his dad.

But it would certainly still be very disturbing to find out that, not only his mother was a prostitute, but she didn't care about him, abandoned him, tried to blackmail Sun and get money out of him... and his dad might not be his biological dad at all, for all he knows.

Still, having Sun and the child might help him overcome all this.
