After a bit of thought I think the only realistic posibilites are the baby is either Jin's or the pregnancy test gave a false reading.

Jin and Sun were at it the night he got back as indicated by Hurley's "Nice one duuuuuuuuude" thumbs up. At the time of The Whole Truth a few days had passed, Jack clearly said the test could come up with a false negative within the first week but not a false positive. Could this test have been tampered with? It would certainly make Jack look bad and perhaps lose it again if he had given this impossible hope to Jin and Sun.

Where did the pregnency test come from? I can only assume it was already in the hatch as its unlikely that it was on the plane. This begs the question, why would there be a pregnency test in the hatch in the first place?

I DO think Sun slept with Jae (her English teacher / ex "boyfriend&quot which is why she looked so guilty and was shocked to learn she was not the one with faulty equipment ("You're telling me this now?&quot but I dont think he got her pregnant.

I have to agree with you L-BSE, I think that [if she IS 'really' pregnant] it's her English teachers. There was just that look in her eye, which althought can reasonably be interpreted for something else, I just have a gut feeling that Sun lied to Jin and she did sleep with 'Jae' [thanks for the namecheck Mantis]

Thats an interesting point posed by Mantis though - where did the pregnacy kit come from? I assumed it was from the plane because I doubt that Sawyer managed to nick much stuff from the hatch..although..in saying that, he DID nick the medicine from the hatch didnt he! because Jack stole it from him and then he stole it back..and then Jack took it back again! lol. So, indeed, what was a pregnancy kit doing in the hatch? Were there women down there? Was it not just a 2 'man' job but a two person job at one point? Hmmm.....interesting!

Also, if it was from the hatch then was it made by Dharma or another company..[like the bars Apollo were]?

Oh..and my other possible theory on Suns pregnancy is that [much like my thoughts on Claire and Susan ] she was experiemented on..maybe part of The Hanso foundations wider experiment?

For the moment I think that Jin is the father, but agree with the above posts that Sun was probably more than 'just good friends' with Jae at some point. Sun's conception could be another pointer that the island has healing properties - like giving Locke his legs back - but I'm still having trouble completly buying that, and think that there is a more scientific explanation for it.

But it is an interesting point where the pregnancy kit came from: it could have been from the plane luggage, but if you thought that you may be pregnant I for one would check it out straight away instead of carrying a test with me to another country! I think that it probably came from the hatch, and was part of the supplies that came with being on hatch duty just in case the two people down there were a girl and a guy...and it does seem that Dharma could have another link with another company because the pregancy kit said Widmore labs on it.



There could be a possibility that Sun could have been used in a child related experiment, but pinpointing the time when that could have happened is difficult! It will be interesting to see what happens with Sun's pregnancy, but I bet that we won't hear much more about it until Season 3!

I agree..the more I consider it the more I think that it must have come from the hatch.

Okay..ive just done a quick search on google to see whether this 'widmore labs' is/was a real entity like the manufacturers of Apollo bars were..and I think it IS a real company[although i only saw widmorelabs.com or something..it could be disconnected with Lost?]..im too scared to look properly though as i dont want to get spoiled as something may just catch my eye and before i know it >

I think it is Jins and the island has healing powers. Just like it healed Lockes legs it has now healed Jin. Maybe it is something to do with electromagnitism or maybe Dhama or Hanso has something to do with it. I'm not totally sure but I do think that Sun is pregnant and Jin's the dad.

that is a very very good point!! but did sun have that dodgy look on her face? perhaps it is jins baby (for the reasons you have said) but that she did have a fling with the teacher?
