Now that the one thing that has tormented Sawyer his whole life, has gone..where does he go from here?

I mean, Cooper has shaped Sawyer into the person he is today (to put it simplistically)..but now that the old bugger is dead..where does this leave Sawyer?

I suppose the same question could be asked of Locke..but i'll focus on the murderer for now.

Do you think that Sawyer will finally be able to break free on the hold that Cooper had over him..and if so, shoudlnt Ben be thanked

Or do you suspect that Sawyer now has nothing to drive him..? Perhaps now he will want to die more than ever?

..afterall, Cooper was the one thing that was keeping Sawyer alive imo.

And what of Smokey..will he have the final word?

Im sorry Sawyer fans, but i think that Sawyers card (much like Kates) is now marked..and Smokey will have his day. Afterall, he doesnt much seem to like killers..

But what do you think?

Where can Ford go from here?

yeah i agree with this, i can see a heroic finale death on the cards for sawyer, as harsh as it sounds, his character seems to have run its course.

I liked sawyer but i agree that sadly he might now bight the bullet because it seems to have run its course for him know and most things for him have been resolved

Sadly, I can see him dying in the final. The Others will come to the beach, Sawyer will defend the Losties, Sawyer gets shot, Sawyer dies. I hope not but that's what I can see happening.

Kind of hope he doesn't - it's only the end of his revenge cycle. Maybe he'll see that as the end of his life's mission as well, but his sickened reaction to what he'd done suggested to me that he might have a way out of all this. It could be a major character turning point.

Sadly I dont think this is the end for Sawyer. He is a vengeful soul and he still owes some people.

On the other hand, this could be carthisis for him and we know what this means for people on that island....

I/m not liking his odds here. Eko refused to reprent so Smoky got him. I feel the same may happen to sawyer ;o(

However, my theory is that smokey does not "kill" them but transports them to the real world because they have either face their demons or there is nothing more for them to do.

I have enought faith in the writers of Lost that they won't just dispose of Sawyer just like that there has to be something that he still has in his past that he can now concentrate on

he is going to be a changed man from now on, which way will he go ?

I dont know if the writers have the stones to kill off Sawyer, ratings would undoubtedly drop if they did. Sawyer has arguably the largest (mostly female

) fanbase of any character on Lost. Killing him now would be an shocking plot twist, but in a business sense it could be pretty suicidal.

Judging from one of the new threads in the gossip section, it does seem very likely though, given that there is so called cast related "game-changer" coming up soon.

After reading this thread I'm thinking Sawyers either going to be a free person now and become James Ford, or that he's reached the end of the road. This thread has made the second of those sound likely to me. But is that really what the writers/producers mean by this 'game changer' that's upcoming at the end of the series. Yes, it'll be a very interesting move to make (and good too, because it'll show us they can give us a shock), but will they really kill off a main character which brings in ratings?
I'm excited to find out :P

Sawyers flashbacks are basically all sewn up and I think the same could be said for Locke now too and we all know they can't possibly do yet more of the same old flashbacks for Kate and Jack so that doesn't really leave many people for flashbacks

does this mean season 4 will be flashbacks for Others ?
