Well technically Sawyer should die due to the fact that he has now 'done what he had to do', if that makes sense. Thats what usually happens on Lost, and unfortunately it seems that you all think so too. However, i also dont know if the writers have the guts to kill Sawyer just yet!! He is one of the most popular characters - there would be uproar! I for one would be devestated! lol. Although i think he may be killed near the very end of Lost, not just yet. Kate will be pregnant with his baby, and he will die when she is further on in her pregnancy. Despite what Juliet said about pregnant women, i really dont think Kate is going to die.

I have always assumed that if they get resucued Sawyer will be leaving a lonely man after Kate's death - don't ask me why thats just how i imagine it

I think that Sawyer will be killed off. I dont want this as he is one of my faves, but I think his journey and flashbacks are complete, unless he is hiding another major secret or has a complete character turnaround, then unfortunatley I dont think their is anywhere else for his character to go.

I've always envisioned two endings for Sawyer:

1 - He's one of the last remaining Losties, changed and a good (if slightly bitter) guy.

2 - He dies saving everyone else.

I'm sure y'all know which option I want to happen. But if he has to go, it has to dramatic, and he has to be a hero in doing so. Otherwise I'd be so very sad.

But I think he's got more to offer, I mean....we need to see how this changes his character. And this whole thing with him possibly being the leader of the Losties - that could be an interesting development too.

Give him time and lets see what happens.

I think he should die. Like Ana and Shannon, his story has run out, and possibly even locke now? His story was kinda all about his dad, now that his dads gone, what happens with him?

But dont you think that in a way Locke has freed Sawyer? I'm not defending what Locke did, it was wrong no doubt about it. I just think that with Sawyer finally finishing his revenge trip, he could find a new purpose?

I just find it disgusting. The way Locke used Sawyer's emotions and past heartbreak to his own advantage. It was awful and heartbreaking. And yes, Sawyer's revenge trip is over...but we don't know what damage/good it's done to him yet.
