Best - season one. He irked me the least in this season (I still find it hard to believe he was once one of my favourites!), he wasn't as dictatorial and, in the strangest way, he wasn't as mean to Locke as in the later seasons - although he certainly wasn't nice!
Worst - season three. He didn't really do anything, he just fought with Ben and lusted after Kate and conspired with Juliet. So - anyone else got their opinion at the ready?

I think season 3 was his best. As the leader of the Losties, he finally chalanged them and took control.
Season 2 was his worst in my opinion, because he led himself, Sawyer, Hurley and Kate into the other's trap which got them captured and generally wasn't as good as either season 1 or 3.

It's difficult to answer this question. Jack, as a character, has been far more interesting (Stranger in a Strange Land aside) this season, than any other season. But as season 1 Jack he was kind of everyone's safety net...
I'm not really a fan of the love triangle stuff, but I think it was handled a lot better this season, and that's partly due to Foxy's portrayal of Jack in my opinion I really don't have any quarms with Jack, as a character, as I know others do... But his best has been season 3.. Worst... I'll go with season 2 because for some reason I have a mental block over season 2. Was it really that bad? lol

His best was series 1. His flashbacks hadn't become tiresome and repetitive for me and the love triangle wasn't driving me crazy! He was also a pretty cool dude back then
![]() On the other side of the scale, his worst series would be series 2. Yes, I know the love triangle and flashbacks had become most tiresome and repetitive in series 3, but at least then he became a good leader again and his time with the others and the losties were both exciting to watch. Unlike in series 2, where he was just a man who couldn't let go, couldn't control his anger and just couldn't seem to control himself and his actions whatsoever! Series 1 Jack - ![]() Series 3 Jack - Generally, ![]() Series 2 Jack - ![]() That is my review on series and Jack's :P |

Despite what I think of the man, Jack has really evolved in my opinion. He's been on one heck of a journey and has gone through the mill (so to speak) on many occassions.
Personally, I think his best season was most deffo Season 3. Despite ending back up on square one with tears down his face, he really did begin to believe and become a more open minded person. Something which he nearly achieved in season 2 after the emotional 'leap of faith' scene with Locke, but he let him self down with building armies and going renegade (of course he displayed these attidues in S3 also). So yeah, S3 was his best because at least he had more light and shade. I despised what he did to Ben on the operating table, but admired his restraint after seeing Kawyer's after-romp. I also liked his integration into Othersville, ive never been so proud of Jack then at that moment the touchdown was made, what a great metaphor that was.. Season 2 Jack was too anti-Locke for my liking. Having made the leap of faith he went on to push the button for a while, all the time ribbing Locke and putting a downer on things. Season 1 Jack was good to watch, but at this time he was the polar opposite of Locke..and no enemy of Locke is a friend of mine. Except Ben (though they sing from the same page anyway). It's actually more difficult that I thought to pin point my feelings towards Jack by the seasons..basically i don't like the man but he's great to watch. Jack's best season = Season 3 (I came closest to 'liking' him) Jack's worst season = Season 2
