I think Jack plays well with a lot of characters. I like him with Sawyer and Locke because they are opposites. Although if Sawyer keeps going on the way he has been lately, he and Jack won't be so very different!

Interesting point. Especially now that Sawyer is presumeably left behind on the island. Will he take up the leadership role again? Will he and Juliet hook up? (Why do I wanna say "Tune in next time..."? ). I think it'll be interesting to explore Sawyer's character without Jack to compete against.

I used to like him waaaaaay back at the beginning of s1 but from then on he's just gone way to the bottom of my favourite characters list.

See, complete opposite. I hated Jack in season one, but I think it came down to the fact that you either loved Sawyer, or Jack, and I already took Sawyer's side in everything.

After Jack tried to save Boone - he and I were on neutral terms, he grew on me during season two, and then by season three I think I developed a brief crush on him which passed when we got to season four, lol.

Lol, that was such a funny scene. Rose is awesome! I think back in season one, Hurley and Jack worked really good together. Like when Hurley used to tease him about Kate and stuff

Yes I agree: it's not nice if someone hates you, but it does mean that you're getting more attention and thought being paid to you than if you were dull and boring and pretty pointless.
It really is a hard life disliking Jack so much it really is, because it means I have to watch him and listen to him closely in order to argue just how terrible he is! Poor me... [insert poor attempts to get me to like Jack here]

Oh I love them! Just a shame they only play out in my head...
I also like the scene where Jack...where he...no, don't like any others with him in it.

Or when Jack completely crushed Hurely's confidence by only paying attention to the fact that Hurley was in a mental hospital! His bedside manner is just so brilliant...

Lol I may wince at my tv screen whenever Jack comes on it, but so far I've resisted the urge to throw something at it. And the beauty of DVDs is that I can fast forwarded most of his scenes, especially his flashbacks!

I wonder if Sawyer is subconciously trying to be like Jack because Kate chose Jack over him and he feels to win a woman like Kate, he has to become more Jack like?

Perhaps being around Jack a lot has brought out the best in him? I liked it when Sawyer told Jack about meeting his father and that his father loved Jack. Sawyer got lots of brownie points for that.

Oh Ki, do not lie. I know, and you know that we both hope to high heaven that it's sam who went boom and Pratt is somewhere safe and warm . Aww, poor Jack, so hated, but at least, as you say - he does get some attention. I suppose it's better than being forgotten about.

Well, Jack was just shocked that Hurley had had issues because he seemed so sane on the island. That's all it was - Jack's disbelief....

And I said it was a brief crush! There was something about him, all manly and tattooed in the cells....but it passed, lol.
