Sawyer reads the messages in the bottle on the raft, and discovers that "Hugo" is rich. With all the trauma of being shot, almost drowning, being captured by the tail section survivors and so on he's probably forgotten that bit.

Or has he?

And if he hasn't, has he worked out who Hugo is by now? A number of people know his name (Locke calls him Hugo; he tells Jack his name is Hugo before checking the manifest; Michael knows his name his Hugo - he only does not know who James Ford is wen Ms Klugh gives him the list)

And if he has, does it matter? After all they are stranded on an island with no prospect of rescue?

I dont think james ever knew that Hurley was Hugo - ironic that, considering they both operate under alias'.

Its hard to think sometimes that they have only been on the island 65 days. Seems like three years to me LOL!

I'd bet that he probably has forgotten about it, and even if he hasn't I wonder if he fully believes it anyway? And I don't think he knows who Hugo is either...he had enough trouble remembering who Steve and Scott were!

I don't think it's at the fornt of jame's mind at the moment. right now i think he's focussing on himself and kate to think about it.

I don't think he'll have forgotten. He's not that type of guy. He has a ConMan's brain and so stores away information for use in the future.

But, we all saw the end of season two. I don't think it'll have registered in his mind, he'll more likely be panicking over the fact he's been captured.

That's what I think anyways.
