You know what you just said is interesting - cos that's exactly what happened with Michael wasn't it - they needed him in hope of controlling Walt - or at least that was part of their agenda, the other part being to free Ben.

Perhaps they did want to keep Rousseau in touching distance just in case Alex turned out to be special and they ended up with more than they bargained for?



Although what would be the reason for not spilling the beans on her now..now that Alex is all grown and seemingly un-Walt-like?

Considering that had Mikhail outed her in either "Enter 77" or "Par Avion" he could have gained a huge advantage in terms of causing conflict amongst his captures..especially considering Rousseau eagerly wanted him dead..

And Ben..when he got caught in the net he could have told Sayid all about Rousseau..this would surely have helped him - although like some, I also believe that Ben got caught on purpose..

But still, it's worth considering why they don't ever spill the beans on Rousseau.

Almost like there's a protocol against it..as if doing so would adversly affect their goals..
