EXPOSÉ ![]() The fourteenth episode of Season 3 is Nikki and Paulo’s flashback, where we learn that Nikki was a guest star in the tv show Exposé and that she was living with its Director, Howard, and that Paulo was his chef. But Nikki and Paulo poison Howard in order to steal his diamonds worth eight million dollars, and as they prepare to get on flight 815 they see Boone and Shannon in the airport. After the crash Nikki’s priority is to find the diamonds, and after Ethan’s suggestion that they search in the jungle for lost luggage, Nikki gets Arzt to help her with trajectories. Whilst searching Nikki and Paulo come across the beechcraft plane and the Peal station, and Paulo swims down into the lagoon where Kate found her case. He tells Nikki that he couldn’t find the diamonds but he’s lying, and he returns to the Pearl to hide them in the top of the toilet, where he overhears Ben and Juliet talking about getting Jack to do the surgery. Nikki finds out that Paulo lied about not finding the diamonds, and she takes a Medusa spider from Arzt and throws it at Nikki, where it paralyses him for eight hours. But it also bites her, and she panics to bury the diamonds before running onto the beach where she finds Hurley and Sawyer, where she manages to say ‘paralysed.’ Meanwhile on the island Hurley and Sawyer see Nikki rush out of the jungle saying something like ‘Paulo lies,’ and she appears to then collapse and die. Paulo is found in a similar condition and the two are prepared to be buried as everyone else tries to work out what happened to them. Desmond says that he saw Sawyer arguing with Nikki in the morning, and Sawyer says it was because she wanted a gun and he wouldn’t let her have one, not because he had anything to do with her death. Sun is convinced it is the Others, remembering when she had a bag put over her head and dragged through the jungle, and Charlie admits that it was he who did it and apologises. Sun confronts Sawyer about the incident and hits him, although she promises she won’t tell Jin. Sawyer finds out that Nikki had been burying diamonds, and as Nikki and Paulo are placed in their graves he sprinkles them on top of them. But as the shovelfuls of sand are thrown onto them Nikki opens her eyes: she is not dead but only now waking up from her paralysis. But it’s too late, and Nikki and Paulo are buried in sand along with the diamonds they fought so hard to get.

The Worst Episode Of LOST Ever.
There are completely crap episodes such as ..And Found, S.O.S, and Stranger, but these are are all just horribly boring. There is no episode that fills me with such unbridaled fury as this episode. Firstly the acting is quite frankly disgusting by Mr. Rodrigo Santoro. Nothing is believable and his delivery of lines is highly cringe worthy. I was one of the few that said give Nikki and Paulo a chance; I will gladly admit here I was wrong. We should have given Nikki a chance, Paulo deserves all he got. I mean just absently staring into the sea does not constitute as decent acting, especially considering everything he's ruined LOST with. Secondly is the reveal of what Nikki and Paulo did in the real world. They were con artists. Like Sawyer. Like Shannon. Like Kate. Anybody else think that the writers may have run out of ideas? Sawyer was/is the proper con man, it was OK seeing Shannon con people. Nikki and Paulo were overload. In every way, shape and form. Yes it was nice to see all the other characters again; I'm up for nostalgia as much as the next person, but I find it poorly executed in this episode. For instance the group scene with Jack's "live together, die alone" speech, the first of many. The way and place they were stood we would have seen them first time round. There is no denying this. You watch the epsiode and you will see that they would have been clearly visible in the original shot. This also goes for the crash scene. We would have seen Nikki running around; and we really would have seen Paulo just standing there. The Charlie kidnap reveal also turned out to be a bit of a damp squib. It was like the writers thought 'Well Charlie's going to die soon might as well get it out of the way". It just seemed to go down flat imo. What originally was a pretty huge moment in Charlie's character arc just faded away into bleak and annoying nothingness. This episode came at completely the wrong time and for the wrong reasons. It was too soon after Flashes for another heavy flashback and time twist. Secondly killing off characters after 11 episodes, probably 6 or 7 if you count how many they were actually in, just because the American fan base doesn't like them is quite frankly pathetic from TPTB imo. When you create these characters you put your faith in them. When you take them out and shoot them like dogs, (I know they weren't shot but go with me here), you forsake your entire trust from an audience. They lost alot of credibility; credibility they'd already lost a bit of when they made Cooper a Wile. E Coyote villain. The only plus points I can possibly give this episode, and it really is scraping the bottom of the barrel, is the actual death which was well executed; and Nikki's cleavage, which I would like to execute at any time. Re-watch rating: 2/10

I'm not going to say much about this episode, but I actually liked it.
Even more in the re-watch actually. I liked it purely on the fact that it's a nice strange change of pace, and the episode stands nicely on it's own. It was easy for me to show this episode to a non-lostie and them not get overly confused. It's a mystery, with a heck of a twist at the end. It was like, Twlight Zone meets LOST. Rewatch = 86 stars out of 108

Although annoyed that Nikki and P*ulo discovered the Pearl and the Beechcraft because it kind of devalues season 1 and 2 with Boone and Locke, I did find the episode enjoyable nonetheless
Of course, seeing Boone and Shannon again was an added bonus although both pretty well wasted "anyone got a pen?!" and fidning out how Shannon knew the key was alround Jack's neck so she can go and hopefully shoot Locke in the near future! Good to see Leslie back and I thought he and Nikki could have had more scenes together. The whole P*ulo thing with hiding the diamonds was really silly. Had he come clean early on they would still be alive. Its also funny that P*ulo never actually speaks a word apart from the flashback and all his flashbacks are on island so really we never ever got to know the real P*ulo. A highly watchable episode either if you are watching it part of a season watch or as a standalone episode of Lost. Just don't mention the continunity error in the "live together die alone" speech where we see two Hurley's - one with Artz and Ethan and one standing with another entirely different group! Rewatch Value 8/10

What a waste of an episode.
Watching it with the commentary on makes it more worthwhile for two reasons 1) Makes you realise that there was some thought process behind it and that it wasn’t just slung together to either fill an episode or a poor excuse of having some girl bouncing around 2) Most of the time the commentary drowns out anything Paulo or Nikki have to say Most of what I have to say is just reiterating whats already been said above. The fact that they found the plane and the Pearl before Locke makes me feel cheated as a viewer are we seriously supposed to believe that these two idiots who can’t act found both these things before Locke a man who from the point of impact became one with the island. Their flashback has absolutely nothing to do with the show. If they did just want some woman bouncing around then they could have had a red shirt walking past every now and again there is no need to invent a whole episode for it and to give the strumpet lines It was nice to see Boone, Shannon and even Artz again Re watch (or any other kind of value) 0/10 |

I don't know what to think about this episode... do you?
No seriously, I enjoyed the Sawyer, Hurley, Charlie, Sun, Jin clan which developed at the graves, and the bit where Vincent uncovered the bodies, such a clever dog *sighs*. I didn't really enjoy the Nikki and Paulo flashbacks, except for the first one The on-island stuff was slightly better regarding them, like the bit with Locke saying nothing on the island stays buried for long, oooooh, ahhhhh. And I kind of liked the fact that Paulo had a secret agenda in the pearl toilet that time ![]()

I don't hate this episode as much as JB, nor do I like it as much as Malion, however I thought it was a good episode, if not ill positioned.
Let's just get this over with now shall we? Kiele, Nikki, Crystal or whatever her name is, she is smoking..SMOKING hot! I didn't quite see it before..not to the extent that I do now..but i've looked into the eye of Kiele and what I saw was..yum. What a shame she is gone..first LuLu and now her. She couldn't act for peanuts but if there's room for Claire, then the Inn can't be full can it. On it's own, this episode is actually very well done. I'm not going to nit pick over some of the production inconsistencies because I think they deserve praise for the way they melded it all together, the delivery of a new perspective where N+P discovered everything before anyone else was a joy to see. It also raises some serious questons about openess, or the lack thereof, amongst the Losties and the lives it could have saved (Boone, Eko..who knows?). I enjoyed seeing old timers Ethan and Arzt back..and seeing N+P at the crash site was fab..for the first time they were 'humanised'..the ice around my heart began to melt and I felt sorry for them as their love disintegrated into greed, then fear then self-destruction. This is why God put diamonds underground :P Their backstory wasn't the best in the world..a feeble effort ..although it was perhaps hashed together to serve a need..the need to kill them off at the altar of the fans. A sacrifice the fans demanded, you could say. As mentioned above the ending was sweet..really loved that. Seeing Sawyer and Hugo bury them like diamonds in the rough was just 'OMG' kinda thing. Oh, and i'm pleased that Charlie came clean to Sun, although i do kinda feel that they shoe-horned that in there with the finale in mind ![]() Re-watch value 6/10 Did I mention how hot Kiele is? Wow.just.wow.

I liked it. Don't care if Nikki and Paulo never should existed in the first place (they probably shouldn't) because this was a standalone episode of fun. No matter how much you dislike it, it didn't destroy any aspects of Lost at all at the end of the day.
And it was enjoyable seeing Hurley, Sawyer, Jin, Sun, Desmond and Charlie all playing Inspector Morse. Plus it was good to see Charlie confess. Not to mention, 'Boone! Boone took the water!' That was hilarious ![]() And out of interest, how did they film the crash scenes with Nikki in them? My mind can't work it out... |

most of it was green screen or blue screen or whatever lol! But there was new footage, it just switched places with the old footage, as you could see the first the you coudl see was Shannon screaming then it went off her came back and her hair had grown to past her shoulders lol!! Same as the speech scene!
