Best "Bad Guy"?

I actually do think Jack is Lost's villian, and it makes me laugh that the writers/producers try so hard to make him out to be a flawed hero! The man is nothing of the sort; he's just awful.

Keamy was an out and out 'bad guy' and to me wasn't very exciting at all, whereas with some other 'bad guys' I love to love or love to hate them. Like Widmore seems to be a dodgy piece of work but he's got a decent character to him and I think he works very well, so I'd probably consider him to be my best bad guy. And I don't consider Ben or Locke to be bad guys at all; sure they've done bad things, but they themselves are not.

I don't think Jack is a villian, and if he is he's an unconscious villian. Because yeah, he can get a bit mental and has a passion for pointing guns at people, but really from day one all he has been concerned about is getting people off the island and back home. He doesn't understand that the island is special, and he doesn't understand because he's too stubborn too. Even when columns of black smoke and his ghost dad is slapping him about in the face he doesn't want to accept it. The only time he's ever done anything to harm anyone is when he thinks that they are in the way of him getting everyone away. Yeah he's a bit of a big head for thinking that he can single handedly rescue everyone but, really... it's not that villianous

Exactly the same thing can be said about Locke and Ben - they are just trying to do what they think is right, but they go to greater means if that makes any sense... like Ben having a hand in the Dharma lot being killed and Locke killing Naomi. So really... I've come in a full circle and have consequently rambled for two paragraphs But my point is there... somewhere

It's so hard to have a two groups of bad guys and good guys, because not a single person can slot easily into either category. Well, apart from Keamy

What about trying to put a bullet through Locke's head in act of cold calculated murder? All Locke was trying to do at that point was gather people that might believe in what he did about the people coming to the island.
Or running after Desmond with a loaded gun because the man committed the disgusting crime of running away from the hatch? I mean honestly, what was pathetic Jack trying to achieve with that?
Or when he manhandles his holiday girlfriend to get himself a tattoo? Or is more than willing to allow other people to continue being hurt to get his own selfish way, like with Sawyer and his antibiotics (for Kate's case, meaning Kate's affections) or Ben's kidney op (for a ticket home after seeing Kate get it on with Sawyer)?

If people don't see things Jack's way he considers it completely fine to be violent and agressive and condesceneding and a million other horrible things towards them.

I'm sure Jack doesn't intend for his actions to be bad, but the majority of them certainly are.

(But yes I did find a good rambling point in there somewhere, don't worry!)

I don't how to vote in this poll... It's not so clear who is a 'bad guy' in LOST and who isn't, it's all a matter if a POV... except for Keamy, but he's a one-dimensional villain, which just isn't interesting. So, it all comes down to this: to be a great bad guy, you have to have some good sides or a higher/noble goal, which means that every great 'bad guy' might not actually be a bad guy at all... Pretty confusing.

I think, atleast for me, it was Keamy's personality that made him a good "bad guy" and Villain. He had a certain something which made him special in spite of his simplistic nature. I think it was his voice, choice of words, his face and a general "kooky" nature about him.

He brought something NEW to Lost, as we had not seen a Villain like him before - an upfront brutal and ultra-violent character that made us scared for the characters we love. He really brought terror into Lost and made the long awaited arrival of these so called "bad people" worthwhile.

Nice to see someone totally unexpected to say such positive things about Jack. Inspite of his flaws, he is definitely a good person.

lol I just join in the hate because it's fun, but in all reality there's no one I can genuinely speak bad about. They've all got their reasons, and I suppose it's just a matter of being able to see them and understand them

I have just realised who's face i have been staring at the past month!!!
I have the Ugly Betty Calender and i just realised that october is Alan Dale!!!! I knew he was in Ugly Betty i'm not that stupid but its taken me this long to realise I have been staring at Charles Widmore all this time! (He is smiling though which is something don't think he has done in lost yet)
