How would you like Season 5 to start?

When the long awaited Season 5 begins and you have your drink in one hand and the remote in the other and that commercial is almost over......

What or whom is the first thing you want to see when Lost begins?

So long as the Season doesn't open on Jack I don't really mind! Nightmare scenario is a flashforward where Jack has become the Island's 'real' leader/hero/saviour, which sets up S5 to tell us how he got to be in such a position. I think I'd cry and then switch off...

Well here are my favorites:
1) Truth about Dharma and their experiments (some flashbacks on their history, experiments, life and members).
2) Early period on the Island, before Oceanic crashed, when there were only Others and Danielle (what was going on on the Island).
3) Revelation - why are they on the Island (like Locke said everyone are there for a reason). Who and how created list for them (Jacob?). They should return a little bit in a past or season 1.
4) Charlotte's story (why is she so connected to the Island, did she had anything to do with it, who is she). I have my theories but...
5) As I said Annie and Ben relation. What happened to her or to them. Did they get separated and has she had any influence on him.

I hope we get to see what is happening on the island first. We have seen so much of the Oceanic 6 in the last few episodes of season 4 that it would be nice to see what has transpired on the island during that time.

I think they'll probably be going back and forth between O6 and the Island.

And maybe we won't need flashbacks to see more of DHARMA or Danielle...

I can only guess, really, but no matter what I say, they are gonna make it shocking and mind blowing! Like they did in S3! Ho boy!

I'd like to see something that takes me a while to establish my bearings, someone doing something without seeing their face (ala Desmond in the hatch, S2) and some music playing in the background. Yeah, I sure described that well

From the choices in the poll, I'd like to see Locke with the Others - we hardly got to see him live out his destiny before we saw him in that coffin. Mean. It would be nice to open on the 'Locke era', just to give us Locke fans a taste of glory before it all goes horribly wrong.. or right, if Locke died on purpose as part of a larger plan

Yeah that and Juliet in her house listen too music - i def think thats the best way to start a series

My personal choice would be going back to Ben and Jack and Locke suddenly jumping out the coffin (with a 'SUPRISE'! thrown in) and then Ben and Locke lock Jack in the coffin...
I'd like to see more of the island stuff, I was getting a tad bored of the o6 stuff.

They've already used that kind opening twice. It would be too predictable to use it once again.

Speaking of music, I was thinking of other songs they could use in the show... Wouldn't it be perfect it they used "We Have All The Time in the World"? It is the kind of music they often use on LOST, Louis Armstrong version is from 1969, so it could be a part of the record collection from the hatch, and the lyrics would have implications for the theme of the show - they could also be ironic, if the time-travel stuff goes horribly wrong, or if we learn that someone is going to die, etc. And it's a beautiful song.

I'd like to see some history there. I had it enough with survivors! What's more to reveal about their past! They have given us full psychological profile of every character (almost every). Move on move on!

yeah, I really liked that one - it was kinda quirky and fun - a bit like season 3 in comparison to season 2 (not that I didn't like S2, but S3 had a distinct feel from that of it's predecessor)

That's true, for it to work a 3rd time they'd have to put a really good spin on it, although I'm not sure how considering they also used the technique to open a flashback in Cabin Fever. That said, they've reinvented themselves before, I'm sure they could find a way to surprise us with the same formula but in a different style.

Oh, I'd LOVE for them to use that Louis Armstrong song - it could hit so many levels, as well as being an all-time classic song, as you say. In fact, I'd just love for them to use more music in the show again - like they did in season 1.

That's an excellent shout - it would be great trying to decipher the era from the style of music that is playing!

You mean island history? Me too, I'm a big mythology buff when it comes to LOST, and I'm hopeful that these final 2 seasons will give us more of that good stuff
