This made me rather annoyed and I thought I would share this with everyone and ask whether anyone else agrees that this person is just severely impatient and probably not that great a fan of Lost?
-- Amazon.co.uk Lost Season 4 Fan Review: Oh dear. TV's finest thriller of a show in years is beginning to unravel. It was to be expected really. How long could the writers stretch out such a simple premise of plane crash survivors stranded on a strange island? They have done an excellent job of maintaining the mystery and intrigue surrounding the characters and the island itself but things just get silly in season 4. In season 3 it emerged that there were that many people living on this tiny island, it was surprising that there wasn't an international airport. Apart from all the survivors of Oceanic flight 815 there were the remnants of the massive Dharma initiative living just around the corner in a town that conveniently no-one ever noticed on their numerous hikes around the island. The ex-Dharma employees are led by the enigmatic Benjamin Linus who may or may not be an evil genius. At the end of season 3 it appeared rescue was at hand but Charlie's dying words warned the survivors that all may not be as it seems and the people on the approaching ocean freighter were not coming to help them. Season 4 is an confusing and endlessly drawn out affair which only asks more questions. It is revealed fairly early on which six characters make it off the island but the constant "are they coming to rescue us or kill us?" becomes pretty tiresome. John Locke takes half the camp with him and disappears into the forest and Jack stays behind with the other half. People wander all over the place and new characters arrive. There are numerous sojourns between the boat and the island and an old face returns to complicate matters further. I am still no clearer as to what happened to everyone who didn't make it off the island and how the writers will fill out season 5 but what I do know is that Lost has started to become too silly for words. We still don't know what the significance of the polar bears, the black smoke or Jacob's cabin are and more questions have been asked such as "Where is Claire?", "is Ben actually a good guy?" and "who cares?" I really hope they wrap things up next season because I can't be bothered watching any more of this lunacy. -- Surely with two Seasons left, we will get the answers we are looking for? Atleast as far as the BIG mysteries go. I think S4 was jam-packed with events and to be fair I am happy with the answers and questions we got and will gladly wait until S5 and 6 for the rest of the answers. This person clearly wants everything answered NOW - for some reason. The reviewer already wants to know what happened to the likes of Sawyer and Juliet - which just sums up the ludicrous nature of the review.

Yes, this kind of thing annoys me too Reed. And to think they claim to be a Lost fan!

God whats the point of giving this essay of a review saying that you don't want to watch it anymore when you know you will. You know this person still bought the Dvd just thought they would write and annoying review. Too drawn out it was like 12 episodes how is that too drawn out.!!!Lol Kate's Fate thier fav episode was prob exposé.

They probably just don't get the show. It's not supposed to have everything answered - it's obviously the kind of show that is going to have a MASSIVE finale where the majority of the big questions will get answered. Whoever wrote that review is just impatient and should really go and watch the likes of Ugly Betty

What's the betting this reviewer who vows to watch no more of this lunacy treats us with a S5 review next year?
S4 was a lot more tight and focused than S3, most likely because by then the final number of episodes had been confirmed and there were no intentional filler eps like Tricia Tanaka. Unfortunately there were a few, imo, unintentional eps that tried my patience...but for the most part S4 still has to retain a lot of mystery and confusing questions because what else will S5 and 6 contain if not the long awaited answers and clarification? And he's obviously not been paying attention to the show that much, because everyone by now knows that Ben is clearly a good guy!

I get the impression this fan does not discuss Lost online as I think we retain our sanity because we all get to talk about it and as such it gives us more patience. That is my view however.
Also ponder the possibility that someone that does not discuss Lost [*online/offline*] is not likely to be as big a fan as someone who discusses it online - does anyone agree with this? The more you enjoy the show, the greater 'patience' and 'enjoyment' you will have. We all love shows on different levels, nothing is black and white - I feel this person likes Lost to a much lesser degree than your average Lost forum fan and is not as dedicated or obsessed with it enough.
