Default The LOST Story-Telling Devise: Anything Left in the Tank?

At the Comic-Convention Darlton spoke about new ways of telling LOST into Seasons 5 and 6.

I was thinking.. we have the flashbacks/flash-forwards, current island centric, and even the hybrid that is the split flashback-flash forward technique that we saw for Jin and Sun's S4 Ji Yeon episode. But what other techniques could they use..? How else could we get 'Lost' in these remaining 2 seasons?

Hmmm..I think they will do a lot of jumping around. They also mentioned at Comic-con that the audience will never really be too sure when or where they are at now. To me, this is good news. I fear though that some viewers may lose interest if it becomes to complicated for them. I am not sure why, but some people have a hard time following as it is.

I think we will not have a clear perception of time until season 6. For instance, we will not know for certain where exactly the island ends up in time now that it has moved. The people on the island may not even realize that anything has happened and it could be some thirty years later for them. I am sure that whatever they decide to do, it will completly blow our minds.

I think the island travelling back 30 years in time is a big possibility IMO. Im not sure if this is spoiler, so I will put it in spoiler anyway, something they said at comic con.

EDIT: I have chosen myself to leave it out. Too high risk. Might PM it, KoR have you seen the whole of the comic con interview and so wont have anything spoiled? Cheers.

Bingo.

Hey Toby! Ive seen all of comic con also and I am not sure myself what exactly would be considered as spoiler on here either. I am trying not to say too much. I dont think anything that they said was too spoilerish. I myself dont like to get spoiled and I didnt have a problem with the things they did bring up.

You are right though, we should PM someone and find out. Cheers!

I agree that there could be a lot of jumping around. I certainly think that we wont know exactly 'where' or 'when' we are for alot of the time, and this excites me. Of course all of this is only speculation and reading in-between the lines. For me, some of the best back-stories from S4 were when we didn't know exactly what was going on - like in The Economist, when Sawyer was working for Ben, etc.

You mean Sayid Roco

For me I don't think we'll have any time switches anymore. I think everything we see will be current time and will instead just be flicking around space, rather than time. That said we may have a recap episode of the space between the O6 leaving and Locke in coffin.
