Most Likely To.......

I thought it would be interesting to see which characters you think are "likely to" become or do something in Seasons 5 and 6.


For example:

Most likely [*or next*] to share Locke's faith in the Island?

We witnessed Eko do this in S2. I think judging by Jack's state of mind in the flashforwards, he will likely to return to the Island a changed man and become a "Man of Faith" - or is that stretching it a bit?


Most likely to become a Villain?

To be honest I think the Survivors have come a long way and will probably not revert back [e.g. Sawyer] or become a Villain. Then again, just who is 'good' and 'bad' on this show? We even have doubts over whether Widmore is a bad person in the grand scheme of things, or atleast I do after his conversation with Ben and considering Ben's past..


Who are your "most likely" candidates? And of course you can choose your own categories.

I agree Reed, I think Jack will become more a man of faith next season. He actually wants to go back, that shows some kind of faith....

Most likely to become a Villain?
I think Sun has a chance to become a villain, since it looks like she is teaming up with Widmore..., but you never know. And maybe Sayid, since we already know he's working for Ben.

Most likely to get back into trouble:

Kate. Because she will return to the island and a condition of her lenient sentencing was that she wasn't to leave the Country or was is State? Either way she will break that undertaking.

Most likely to change sides:

Sayid (who puzzles me)! He always said he held The Others responsible for Shannon's death - not Ana Lucia, because it was The Others who were snatching people and causing everyone to be paranoid and trigger happy. Is Sayid a double agent? Or has Sayid just forgotten his vendetta with The Others aka Ben?

Not that it matters, (or does it?) but wasnt wasnt she told she had to stay in California for 10 years? Perhaps when they do return to the island, they never go back to civilization therefore she has no reason to worry about her sentencing.

I agree that Sun may to some extent, But if Jin is still alive I'm not sure. Maybe Miles although he never really much of a hero. Did Micheal count as a villain in S2 and S4 ?

Good point regarding Sun and Widmore Gale, I forgot about that scene. That should be interesting in terms of her being a 'mole/spy' amongst the O6. She is definitely Widmore's ticket to the Island; he will hang onto Ben's coat tails. I can see a Sun vs Sayid plotline here. Perhaps she holds Sayid somewhat responsible for Jin's death.

Yes Kate could not leave the State, but will the O6 assume they will NEVER return to the outside world once they return to the Island? Surely they know THIS time they will not be able to leave. I feel the circumstanes of the Finalé was a very rare opportunity to leave the Island. The O6 were very lucky to leave, mainly thanks to Frank's good heart.

I agree M.Austen, at what point did Sayid forget about the Others being responsible for killing Shannon. I am trying to recall the first face-to-face encounter between Sayid and an Other. I suppose NOW, Nadia means more to him than Shannon ever did.

Good reminders KsF of just what we can expect from the last 2 Seasons; LOTS of great mysteries being revealed and solved.

Bmastaa I would say Michael was a Villain in S2 but not S4 and I think Jin is ALIVE. Where he swims to is anyone's guess being that the Island has moved.

Yes, I take your point that if Kate doesn't return to civilization her parole violation won't matter.

However if she does intend to return (somehow?) then she will be in exactly the same position as when she came to the island (in trouble with the law) and could face a jail term. It could prevent her having a happy ending with either Sawyer or Jack.

Perhaps I should have stated Kate was least likely to have a happy ending (unless she stays on the island). Rose too needs to stay put. Sayid could end up wanted by the law too. Have you noticed that reasons are stacking up for them to go back to the island and remain there? Hurley too has only ended up in an asylum so he was better off on the island as well.

Do you remember if they said she had to stay in Cali. forever or was it 10 years or something like that?
You are right though, they all seemed so much happier on the island. They are a truly miserable lot off of the island. I hope that when they do go back to the island none of them ever leave it again.

Can't remember the exact wording of the conditions of her light sentencing; but I do recall it was quite a lengthy period but Kate agreed to it happily realising she had got off lightly and at that time had no plans to leave!

However, now we see Kate's rebel instinct kick in yet again because she will be bound to return to the island and break the conditions of her sentence.

If Kate was more of a wuss (which she isn't) she'd stay where she was and wouldn't rock the boat - so I like it that Kate doesn't do what she's told! It makes her a more interesting character!

She was told she could not leave the State for several years I believe - which unfortunately completely rules out trips to Disney Land for Aaron.

Good question M.Austen, I wonder what she would do. Aaron was always important - [or apparently so] - to the plot and so one would wonder whether Ben would state Aaron also NEEDS to go back.
