That a really hard choice but I'll say Desmond because Sawyer's an original charcter and has always been one of my favourites.

Hard choice! I like both characters very much but I would miss Sawyer's sense of humour, his nicknames and his wonderful quotes. I think LOST would be lost without him - much of the humour would certainly go; so I voted to keep Sawyer.

Desmond - his story is over now anyways, but there is more to come from Sawyer I feel. Plus Sawyer, IMO is a more interesting character.

In a spur of the moment thing, I voted Sawyer because we have been "round the block" with him ten times whereas Desmond - had he stayed on the Island - had/has SO much more left in him as far as storylines go. However Sawyer has LOTS left in him too, though I just feel Desmond could definitely shine if given certain plotlines. Though I love Sawyer so this particular question is leaving me fickle.

Well obviously I voted to keep Sawyer and get rid of Desmond, lol.

However, perhaps a more interesting question (and one I've been asked before with different people/characters) would be: If one of these had to die and one had to live but you could never ever see them again, which would you pick for each option?

It's a horrible question and I can't quite word it right, but you know what I mean.

Desmond. I love both characters but I feel as though Sawyer plays a huge part in a lot of Lost's comedy and without him, Lost just wouldn't feel right. We went an entire series without Desmond and we survived
