So far we've had Jacob, Aaron, Naomi and Christian of course could represent Christian in Pilgrim's Progress.
Just looked up Jacob in Wikipedia - can we see anything in this that might give us clues about Jacob's role on LOST or are the biblical names red herrings? Jacob - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I remember Mr Eko talked to Claire a lot about who the biblical Aaron was (brother of Moses and his spokesperson). Aaron - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Daily Bible Study - Aaron Aaron was Moses mouthpiece. Is our Aaron on Lost meant to be the spokesperson for someone else? If you remember in Season 4 in Jacob's cabin, Christian said he could speak on Jacob's behalf! There seem to be a lot of spokesmen about on Lost at the moment! Is there any relevance on LOST with these biblical names? Benjamin is also a biblical name: Benjamin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Benjamin was the son of Jacob! Cripes! Daniel is biblical too! John is biblical too (John Locke) and Sawyer is really James Ford. Wasn't James the son of John in the bible?
![]() Edit: No James and John were brothers. I don't think Sawyer and Locke are brother's though. Last edited by Miss Austen; 06-20-2008 at 07:03 PM. |

See you in another life Brother!
Just saw this in the wikipedia entry about Benjamin (aka Ben). This seems fairly spot on doesn't it? Didn't Ben's mum die straight after she gave birth to Ben? Benjamin's name arose when Jacob deliberately corrupted the name Benoni, the original name of Benjamin, since Benoni was an allusion to Rachel dying just after she had given birth, |

Matthew Adaddon
Matthew-"'Gift of God' Abaddon- Many Biblical scholars believe Abaddon to be Satan or the antichrist. Others have stated that he may be one of the lesser demons of hell, or even a dark angel. [wikipedia] That fits in with his character as we still don't know whether he's good or bad. |

Here's another biblical reference. Jin was the son of a fisherman.
Many of the 12 disciples were fishermen or the son's of fishermen. Bible Truths - Jesus Called the Apostles Just spotted your Matthew Post MEP - great post! |

Then we have Charlotte Staples Lewis and her name can be shortened to C. S. Lewis. C. S. Lewis wrote The Chronicles of Narnia which has religious overtones:
Charlotte Lewis (Lost - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) So there are biblical references everywhere in Lost. If anyone comes up with any more, I'd be interested to hear about them. |
