Abandoned Kids in Lost - Lost Community Forums - Official Spoiler-free Lost Fansite

I expect this has been raised before but have you noticed how many characters on LOST have been abandoned by their mothers? Or their mother died when they were young?

Aaron has now seemingly been abandoned by Claire or she is dead. Walt's mother died when he was young. Locke's mother abandoned him and I seem to recall that Ben's mother died when he was young too didn't she?

Any other motherless Lost Characters?

Ooooh! I just remembered that Sawyer lost both his parents including his mother. Have I missed anyone out?

Do these motherless children have any bearing on the show? Or does it just show that they were all slightly dysfunctional from the get go?!

Sun still has both her parents but Jin's mother abandoned him and I don't think Jin's father is his real father.

Hurley still has his Mum

His Dad reappeared in his life but whether that was wishful thinking or a dream sequence who knows?

Jack didn't lose his father until he was an adult and his mother was still alive when she sent Jack off to look for Christian in Australia.

they do seem to all have issues with them, even if still alive, but never thought of the mothers b4, you have a good point
