It was a spoiler. It's character information (factual data) from Lostpedia which hasn't been established in the canon of the show. Since you directly stated that "Lostpedia" says he's "xxxx". Which is spoiler info as far as this board is concerned.

Even though this is a thread about Dan, not Miles, I must say: Miles is only superficially like Sawyer. Sawyer always seemed to be a troubled guy trying to hide his vulnerable side, and trying too hard to be hated. Miles, on the other hand, seems to be genuinely asocial, shallow, callous and unconcerned about what anyone thinks... That's why I like him He's hilarious. I would be disappointed if he turns out to have a troubled and deep soul etc. or to care about something more than about money.

And no, there is no similarity between Daniel and Jack. He really isn't anything like any other character on LOST. He is, however, curiously similar to other characters Jeremy Davies has played.

I must say, I initially quite liked Daniel, but by the end of the series, I'd went off him quite a bit, and I don't really know why.

With Miles however, the opposite happened.

We still don't know why Daniel was crying in Confirmed Dead do we? So we can't say he cries for no reason (coughjackcough).

I really like him he just looks so confused and dizzy (I'm using the world dizzy a lot these days for people for are not all there) Anyway i like him better then miles who to me seems like he is just there to annnoy people and he doesnt seem to have vunerable side yet.
I think Daniel is going to have some sort of breakdown I don't know why. I hope he doesnt
