Anyway, as for Pen, I think her father is involved somehow but I haven't worked out how yet. And I would agree that she has paid those guys a ton of money to find Des.
I wonder if she ever got married in the end?

Alan Dale that played Charles Widmore is a familar face in America too remember as he was in the OC for a few years so I can't imagine he would do just one scene like that. He will turn up again Im sure.

If Mr Widmore got rid of Desmond via the boat race and knew about the island, then who else entered the race? Widmore sacrificed other racers.

If Penny would go to all this trouble for Desmond, then surely she wouldn't have let him leave in the first place. It's puzzling why Desmond didn't tell her that he DID write to her from prison, instead he just walked off!

That's a good point (is he American and good at faking a British accent or British and good at faking an American accent?! ). He's obviously going to be more involved in season 3 or 4 then.

And to those who spotted the scientists sayin 'miss' rather than 'mrs'... well you're more observant than me.
