I spotted him instantly as well, I'm surprised by the lack of recognition some of you guys are showing too heh.

Yeah i recognised him instantly. I also predicted that he'd play a bigger role after we saw him in OoT..he's just too much of a big character to have been consigned to a one-off role [a bit like the guy who plays Christian], i thought.

Im also glad that Kelvin is him because it proves that my theory may be right, about their being an Army/US Military link in this whole thing.

So Dharma are a mixture of Scientists and Army Personnel..or at least DHarma as we now know them..

Question is..was Kelvin pulling the strings back then when he met Sayid? Methinks he was..

..also, i always thought that the box Kate found in ML [with the glue and beard] looked familiar..wasnt that the box 'Kelvin' gave to Sayid in OoT..the one with all of the torturing equipment in it? I thought it was the case back then but seemed like a silly idea at the time.

Leaving Sayid in the middle of nowhere wasn't the best way to get Sayid on the island if that's where you're heading lol?

Even those anti-terror guys from S1 most likely didn't play a part, although they let him leave for America.

How could Dharma get all these Losties on the exact same plane, .........there are many flights to America from Oz arn't there? Fate must have played a huge role here.

But there are many chains in the chain of events that lead up to island life. DOnt forget that Sayid was a changed man after what he did to Tariq. It could be argued that this was part of his strengthening..his test..

Who's to say that there is even a set agenda/path in the pre-island manipulation? Perhaps there are those who were on the 'islands' list of subjects that didnt make the cut? Maybe if Sayid didnt show the required characteristics after the Gulf War then he wouldve been crossed off the list?

As for how the island/Hanso Foundation or whoever managed to co-ordinate all those losties being on that precise flight..well in my view HF have an extremely long reach..they have fingers in many pies and presumably have many island agents who helped them to round up these people.

Some might call it fate. I prefer to call it man-made fate.
