I'm not so sure about Penny. She really annoyed me at the end of season two because she was just so anti-climactic but I found her more endearing in this episode. Esspecially seeing how nice she was growing up with a father with such superiority views.

So I think I like her but I'm not sure if she's a good character or not. She's quite bland and doesn't pop out as much to me as many other flashback characters have.

I agree totally AP, I found her a little annoying during the end of season flashback but I did warm to her during her most recent appearance. Though I couldn't help seeing the similarities between her/Des and Sun/Jin.

I kinda like her but I don't think I know enough about her to make an informed decision about whether she's a good character or not yet

One likes Penny. She speaks the queen's English!!!

I think she will be key character to Lost and shes likable. Her dad is not though. Evil man saying Des is not even good enough to drink his whiskey - go back to Neighbours Jim!

I really like Penny, and after last night's episode I can even forgive her odd British accent! I really like how she doesn't care what her father thinks about Des or where they live or how much money he makes, because she does just truly love him, and that still hasn't gone away since she is sending out boats to search for him.

I do like Penny, the first English woman. I think she's polite and her and Des go together like a jigsaw.

I adore her! She is for me, the best flashback character ever (only possibly rivalled by Christian). I just feel she is so pure, and you can see how much she loves Des. And I love her obvious Britishness

Yeah, she's a good character and I like her. I believe this even more after last nights episode. Her and Desmonds love for each other is really strong and I like seeing that (without sounding too cheesy there :P). It was really sad having to see them break up. Also she just seems really kind and I love that strong English accent

Go Penny! I love the fact she's still searching for Desmond. I hope she finds him one day

Im the same AP, at the end of S2, i didnt reallt like her that much but last nights episode got me liking her. I actually want her on the island with them right now

.... she could get on trying to save dessy and get trapped
