Erm..where do you suppose Desmond got all of that wine from? I mean he only took a few tins of Dharma Corned beef and whatnot with him when he went AWOL..

The likelyhood is that they were in his boat..but wouldnt they have got all smashed up when it got caught in that violent storm..?

it was whisky not wine i think. He probably had it in some kind of protective case in the whole of the boat. You know how protective sailors get with their drink!

good point, he didn't take any from the hatch and his crash looked quite violent, even though we never actually saw him crash, how did kelvin know that he was there? my guess is that he knew that des was coming.

Also, im sure i saw a Dharma logo on one of the bottles...

Yeah, i also think Kelv knew he was coming..as did his friends..

The thing is, was Kelv simply going out to the boat everytime..or was he liaising with Henry and co..

Kelvin called the others "hostiles" so he might not have been in contact with them, or he might have just been telling desmond that to scare him or something

He said something like "theres the quarantine out there and the hostiles" and then desmond said something about the hostiles being on the north part of the island

Yeah i reckon he was trying to keep Des in the box, so to speak. Unless he split fromt hem and went his own way..unlikely though..

I heard that too, Desmond calling The Others "The Hostiles". Its not that surpising really, its Danielle who called them The Others and the name simply stuck. The Others call themselves The Good People.

As for the wine, I think Kelvin stocked the boat with wine (it had the Dharma logo on it) while he was fixing it. Remember the scene where he was drunk with the key hanging over the self-destruct thingy? After so many years in the hatch, here is a man who needed his drink :beer: And who can blame him.

I think Kelvin was stocking up nicely for his escape from the island. Although did he have the corect coordinates anyway.

And I think someone said "is he really dead" in another thread. A cracked skull usually means the end but he may have been taken to the medical hatch by Ethan or someone and treated straight away. So he may be alive but I doubt it.

Clancy Brown has his own website and posts what work he has lined up so it will be interesting if he says hes filming a Lost episode again (well he needs the work - just spongebob squarepants on his job list at the moment!)
