The Desmond 'was it timet-travel' podcast

For anyone who might be interested, it's currently - as far as I can gather - fairly safe to google 'Desmond' 'podcast' and 'time travel' and to discover Carlton Cuse's and Damon Lindelthing's discussions on the nature of what happened to Desmond. I've found a transcript of the relevant section, though I'm saying nothing here. I don't know how spoilerly people consider such things - I've not listened to the podcast, but the transcript doesn't reveal future events or entirely clarify the situation. It just reveals what the producers were thinking was happening during that episode.

No, I'm not posting the material here... if people want to look it up for themselves, they're welcome. I'm just saying it's around and currently spoiler-free if people want to check it out.

And I agree, Him, that it isn't conclusive. It's actually barely coherent... but I do think it leans more towards one of the possible options than the other.

Ah! I've found an interesting bit (after your comments forced me to read from beginning to end ), but, the bizarre thing is... that right after it, it's like they're asking each other what's going on???

Yeah, that's the bit. I guess either they seriously haven't fixed the answer in their own minds or they don't want to make anything too clear for the viewers. Or they're open to the whole idea of people coming up with different interpretations, including among the writing team... which is kind of admirable in spirit but might get a bit... conflicty... later on.

I agree.
It worries me sometimes that they just seem to be doing it by ear. The most worrying part being that Henry was meant to be killed off after 3 episodes (and it now seems that they didn't have Desmond's future set out either).
