I like Des (I voted the first option), I was so glad that he survived the hatch implosion. I think there's more he can reveal about Dharma, maybe if he meets patchy..

I like him and I think he's a good character. He's got a lot of plot potential at the moment, what with his predictions, and the Penny-rescue possibilities. And he's pretty easy on the eye too.

He is one of my favourite characters and I am so glad he has come back into it. I am intrigued by the people who seem to be looking for him. And he's kinda nice to look at.
But not a patch on Sawyer....

And that is true that he knows more about Dharma than the rest of the castaways do but I doubt that he knows too much himself. He didn't seem to know much about the invisable map and he didn't care much about the hatch at around the time that the plane crashed.

I think that he's become stronger mentally since leaving it and integrating himself into society. He went downhill once he realised that his boat couldn't let him escape with the alcohol but he seems to have made an almost miraculous recovery - similar to Locke's actually.

IMO - Desmond has been under-used in season 3 so far. I know there is a lot going on but to turn a potentially interesting character to dull as dish water is a bad move.

I'm fairly sure we will see more of his time in prison at some stage and more of Penny which I think willplay an important part in Lost. Looking forward to more Desmond/Kelvin scenes in the future as more is to tell I'm sure.

So I think hes a key character but needs better scripts.


Oh and AP, can't wait for the Kate do you lik or not thread

I still think that if they overload us with too much about his powers and past in one go that he'll become even more boring and I'll end up seeing him like I see Jack; 'he wouldn't be too bad if he got off the screen once in a while.'
