Rousseau *is* Dharma

Alex is alive and well on the island, yet all other children and their mothers die..

Could this be because Rousseau is indeed Dharma..the same Dharma who would've had extensive knowledge of the island and who would presumably have had somekind of formula/vaccine against the islands sterilisation policy..

Could R-so be hiding the biggest secret of all? Could she not only be Dharma affiliated but know how to birth a child and stay alive? Afterall, if theres one person on that island who knows a thing or three about survival then it's our Dani..

Yes, the Rousseau/Dharma idea is far from new..but just to clarify what im suggesting is that she took a vaccine in order to successfully birth teenstrop

I really don't feel I can make guesses about Rousseau at this stage. I find her so entertaining and I still really want her to be telling the truth (with maybe just a smidge of deranged fantasy thrown in for good measure), but it's so hard to tell. But I do think that all the stuff concerned with Alex rings very true - the scene where she finally saw Alex again seemed to me to confirm at the very least that Alex is her daughter and that the last thing Rousseau ever wanted was to be seperated from her. Some other stuff in her story feels kind of contradictary, but that at least seems genuine to me.

As to the vaccine... well, I personally don't believe that women who conceived off the island need any vaccine in order to successfully carry their children to term - I believe that much of Juliet's story. So going on the strength of that, she doesn't have to be lying about Alex. But I do want to know more about the science team she claims to be a part of.

Exactly. Sometimes I find myself wanting to believe her; her story is such an endearing one, and one that I think would be tainted if she were in on it, or not what she appears (though I suppose she could still be a little 'not there' and part of Dharma too)

However, I think if she knew the secret to keeping mothers and their newborns alive that Ben would of had her in a cage somewhere by now, where as, if anything, the Others seem to care very little about her...

Exactly, wasn't this the 'big-reveal' we got from last episode? But yes, I'm eagerly awaiting the Holy Grail that is a Dani-on-island-flashback...

Anywho, I think it's possible she was part of Dharma, or least an affiliate - but I don't think anything she's keeping from us will change the position she is in i.e. I still think she's loopy, had her child stolen from her, and a bit contradictory at times - but like Murg says, I think it's all genuine

It's possible but after rewatching 'Numbers' i can't help but believe Dani's story about how she came to be on the island... however i think you may be on to something with there being a link between Dharama and Dani that is yet to be revealed.

I like Verix believe Dani is telling the truth, she never conceived on the island so if we are to believe Juliet and I presume since you blindly follow Ben Roco you will believe her that the problem lies at conception. There is no evidence that Claire would have got sick if she hadnt become Juliets guinea pig so I believe it is the same for Dani.

Well she probably did arrive via vessel..but i dont for one minute believe that she hasnt told a lie in S3.

Returning to my main point.... You debating the fact that Dani didnt conceive on the island so there is no evidence to sugest that she would be effected by the fertility problems....

I haven't had much of a chance to get on here latley, but this is one of the main things that concerned me about this eppy.

I am really wary about Juliet and whether or not we can trust her. She said whatever the problem is happens at conception - I beleive that much, but she said Claire had it (or her blood test revealed she had it) but Aaron was concieved off island..

Also, this could mean Jules, Kate and Sun are in trouble too

Yes, that's the logical explanation. But KoR likes to create webs of explanations, which can only be described as Labyrinths, to try and make the Others look like they mean well

It's possible KoR, and in fact evidence points to the fact, that Claire would have been fine with or without being kidnapped then poked and prodded. I mean, it's the only reason I (anyone else?) care about Sun's baby's father, if it's the on-island Jin - yippee for Jin and Sun, but bad news ensures. If it's that other guy, then naughty Sun - but wooo she'll be ok (minus any Other kidnapping raids, of course)
