Yes, true. Danielle's had no direct confirmation that the teenage girl is called Alex.

I wonder if Alex knows that she is a foster kid?

Also I always wondered how did the Others know Alex's name was Alex...did she have a little baby bracelet on or something when they kidnapped her?
