I'll be surprising people here; not least of all myself but I preferred RBA as a flashback to ML despite the fantasticness of Ethan.

Raised gave us so many more answers and so many more questions, and in Maternity we barely learnt anything about the Others apart from that they were wearing fake beards. Raised also gave much more character development to Claire (something she has been in dire need of recently) as opposed to Maternity which was barely about her to be honest.

So yeah; voting first option.

IMO (and I'm not just saying this because I love Claire . . honest

) they've both been very good. RBA was excellent, what with it being a first flashback - I believe everyones first flashbacks were very interesting - and also with the psycic it was a very creepy and exciting flashback.
However, I'd go with ML simply because at this point in Lost we'd seen very little of the others and ML gave us an entertaining look into what exactly the others were getting up to. Also, there was plenty of Danielle and Ethan in it, so what more could you ask for?! :P

Maternity Leave as liked the way it was done starting off with all the images flashing at once and the way we got to see the others for the first time out of role play.

I agree with AP to an extent, RBA was a good (better than many other) flashbacks - but ML. Well, it re-structured what we've come to know as a 'basic structure' of 'on-island events/flashback' - I think ML refreshed Lost in a good way - if memory serves it was around the time the 'filler' (poorer, in my opinion) episodes were about and ML and the intro of Henry Gale saved season 2...

Definatly; I'd assumed that his introduction was going to be terrible, was going to end up as some stupid actor playing a stupid part but...
