The value of island pregnacy- an indicator for Sun

I was thinking recently about the whole 'Sun pregnancy' thing and the value or devalue of having another baby on the island..and then i thought of Claire and began to wonder whether her character has improved since she's delivered Aaron?

In some ways i feel that her character is far more interesting and has more flexibility since she's had Aaron [Do No Harm episode] and that Aaron himself is a pretty interesting character despite him being all but a set-play or 'tool' at the moment. I also feel that having a pregant Sun on the island perhaps wouldnt be a good idea because this may well restrict her character for the 9 months that she would haver to be pregant - as Claire was late in her pregnancy when she was introduced at the start of season 1, therefore her character wasnt burdend with being pregnant for 2 or 3 seasons [like Sun's would presumably have to be].

Anyhoo, so my question is this - In your opinion, has Claire's charactrer improved since she gave birth to Aaron?

I would also like to add that in my opinion, I dont think it at all likely that we will ever see Sun's baby..each season is apprx 2 months in island terms..so we'd have to see Sun pregnant for 3 months/3 more seasons..i dont think that they will do this.

Therefore should we perhaps be bracing ourselves for a Sun [or baby] death? or perhaps a Sun disappearing act [ala Mike]..which would perhaps mean she's not seen or heard of again for 3 seasons!?

Unless they change the amount of days done in one episode quite drastically, we aren't going to see Jin Junior for a long time, if ever, I agree.

I also think Claire's more flexible as a character in her own right, rather than 'the pregnant woman' probably in mortal danger every 5 minutes.

Yeah, it's given her the ability and freedom to shine and become a 'more' dynamic character. I think that Maternity Leave is testiment to that.

The one drawback of Claire having to look after Aaron all the time is that she couldn't join in any of the major events taking place on the Island. I.E, going on all the treks etc which take place, being in and around the hatch. I hope ala Maternity Leave Claire can go on/take part in a major event without being seen as a bad mother for leaving Aaron behind.

Back on topic..

I think since Claire has had Aaron it certainly gives her character more 'licence' but I don't think [minus ML] the writers have 'explored' that ...

However, you can have 'too many cooks' I think having people like Claire, Bernie, Rose etc who pretty much stay at the beach, allows the writers to go back and forth and in doing so 'stretch out' episodes, which may make less compelling viewing, but has to be done for balance [and budget ]...

I don't happen to think Sun will have the child, though it wouldn't surprise me if season 4 or 5 is set a little further on in the future..

The 'whose is it' storyline is cool, though I'd hate to think we're going to have another 'pregnant lady' storyline...

I think Claire is boring. The writers need to do something drastic with Aaron to turn Claire into a new blonde version of Danielle.

I think Suns child won't be born in the Lost cycle. I suspect she will survive and be rescued by a chopper at the end (with Jin?) and that will be the happy ending whilst Kate gets her head blown clean off....

Of course is the actress gets pregnant for real then Sun will certainly disappear into the woods never to be seen again!
