It seems quite obvious now that he's her father...

Though I'm having trouble figuring out how Danielle didn't seem to recognise Ben when she captured him, and how it is possible if she conceived off the Island (I believe this is the case...) and Ben has been on the island his entire life...

Too many questions.

I dont think ben is her real father, he probably ordered her capture or took her himself

It could mean adoptive father - although I doubt it does.

Perhaps it's like Emily said to Locke about him being 'immaculatly concieved.'

yea im really confused about all that. im so torn between thinkin ben is the father and thinkin that's a crazy idea

I was thinking that, but the episode seemed to suggest otherwise.

I assumed adoptive father. They had to come up with some story for Alex other than 'we stole you from your mother'... though, even so, she's evidentally not been pacified.

It was weird because I watched One Of Them earlier today. You say Danielle didn't recognise him. But yet she was convinced he was one of them. Maybe because she knew he was from 16 years ago!!!

I was gonna say he might have been part of her team, but A) Ben said he has been on the island all his life and

she said she killed her team

yeah hes obviously the adoptive father. I have a feeling that ben is infertile anyway, plus I believe danielle when she claimed Alex was her daughter, and i can't see those to getting it on when she says shes never seen an other

I think the others just told Alex that Ben was her father, because she wouldnt of known herself.

Also, forgive me if this is a stupid question, but Alex was taken when she was just a baby right? So how would the others know she was called Alex?! :-/
