She also wasn't as religious as Mr. Eko, yet she clearly believed in redemption. All in all I think she had a good cross-section of faecets that would have served her well as leader. She was also a fine woman, how brilliant would it have been to have a realistic female portrayal leading the Losties! Apart from her debacle with Sawyer, she didn't need to fllirt or lead men on to get on top (like Kate, Jules, Sun etc), instead she used her brains and her wits. She was such a refreshing character.
Why do you write this??? You're only making it hard for us to accept that Ana is gone... And she's not coming back. You're first who speaks of Ana that openly and righteously. You are right, she was just to damn perfect for all on that Island who were like really lost. She was determined but still willing to make compromise. Tough but fragile, fierce but also soft and open for others.
I felt so so so sad when she spoke to Sayide that night, and she told him that people just don't like her. All they do is just hurt her. No wonder she became so hard on others and fierce - she had to be cautious not to get hurt again.
I think her and Sayide would have been a great as a team. They share some common characteristics.
