I know the producers have denied the second option, but I'm a bit Locke-ish about it. It's just a bit too coincidental....

And TUT, slightly, about Evangeline Lilly, who I know nothing of as a person or anything, but I really don't see that there's anything very off with her acting. She plays a hugely annoying and often boring character, so maybe that's what's getting to you, but for the record, I've no complaints with the way she plays her.

I'm not sure what to believe really, i hope it wasn't for the drink driving thing but with libby going as well it might be because of that. Whatever the reason i still can't believe she's gone.

I have been listening to the abc lost podcasts with Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindeloff and they said that Michelle had only ever signed up for one season and they planned her storyline and character around the fact she would only be there a year. Then when the DUI

thing happened they knew lost fans would blame this for her leaving and actually thought about not killing her off but decided to stick to what they had planned

Libby, also involved in the glug glug vroom vroom incident, getting the punt casts the whole '1 season' thing into doubt. Did she also only sign a 1 season deal? What a coincidence.

I don't suppose we'll ever know the truth, so it's probably best to stick with what the producers say. Though I'm not exactly sure I can trust a bunch of people who have the mind to create a program like Lost...

Boring character? But she's supposed to be the lead actress...her script is probably quite good but she perhaps just cant convey it over to the audience

Seriously though..i agree that 'some' of her script is fairly mudane..partcularly this season..but i fail to believe that the script writers would give their [supposed] lead actress this bad a script. I mean this must be something wrong..maybe it boils down to her acting?

It's possible aint it..?

OK, can someone explain to me exactly what happened with Mich and Cynthia? I heard snippets of info a while ago and knew that there had been some form of drink driving but i avoided the specifics since i was worried about getting spoiled.

So what happened..who was drinking and who was driving?

I actually believe that MR was only signed up for 1 season, and that she was originally planned to have been killed off. However I think that her drink driving activities completely got rid of any possibility of her staying on for S3.

And I suspect that Cynthia was got rid of mainly because the drink drving stuff - killing off Libby then and there seemed a bit hurried and uneeded...Libby had a lot of potential left in her, and I can't understand why she would have been killed off.

And I'm not sure about the specifics of the cases Roco - I avoided the news sites because I didn't want to get spoiled myself!

I don't care what they say i think it was the run in with the law that did it. I mean, her character was just getting interesting, so that's not a good reason and if she was only signed for 1 season, surley when they seen how much the character brought to the show then they could renew the contract!

This will go down as one of the all-time mysteries of Lost. Quite ironic really.

The thing is, the production team should've helped her through this rather than just cutting her loose! It's a bit like how Locke just turned his back on Charlie..[yes, i find a 'lost' connection to everything
