Oops - It's been a while since we had one of these up.

I'm voting for the first option; I had heard about her shooting Shannon and about her losing the baby before I even saw her in Exodus but what I had heard was over-exaggerated. She may have been a ****** at times but we also saw her human side, and I couldn't help but feel sorry for her when her own people turned on her when she kidnapped Sayid (she was wrong to do it but I did feel for her) and she won my respect when she let him go, probably expecting him to hurt her.

I think this may be the most varied poll yet.

I voted the first one. I know she shot shannon, but it was an accident and she was genuinley sorry for it. She was quite an interesting character I think and her backstory was good.

i voted for her being a bad character but i liked her.

i just think that her character didn't really have any point.. well i know she has teh whole Christian link which could be proven to be quite important because of the theory that claire is jacks half sister and stuff but i still don't think that there was

and i voted that i liekd her because she was still dudey and i liked her and i also don't want to be disliked by haelle :P

I choose good charecter but didnt like her I thought she created a lot of drama at the start of series 2 with the intergration of the tallies and the fusers but I didnt like her personality as she just seemed agressive and rude to everyone.

OMG Ana-Lucia Cortez watch such a beautifully in-depth character.

First the mystery, intruige, emotion with her. Then the Jacks Dad connections - their similarities. The other 48 days gave her this unique character - I couldnt see any stereotypes in her. Unique.

Her relationships with men astound me - Jacks army and sawyers 'screw' action. Then of course the way she dealt with Goodwin and whats his face whos Ed in that other tv show thingy toilet guy who left without somone and was shifty bout it and then goodwin killed him just like the chicken. Breathe.

She grew on me, she was potrayed as an agressive 'bully'; she wasn't a 'nice' person. But she was improving - typically though, that spelled the end for her..!

Great character/Loved her!
I absolutely loved Ana-Lucia. When she was introduced initially, I thought she was too aggressive and treated Sawyer, Michael and Jin appallingly. However...her character shone through and any doubts I'd had were very fleeting. Especially given what she had gone through in her Island time at that time.

I think she was one fiesty, determined lady but her character soon proved to be much much more multi-layered than just that. I loved how we saw her as a self reliant, independent, assertive woman while almost paradoxically appearing extremely vunerable at times. The pain that she was going through, probably constantly, explains and justifies all of her actions despite what her critics would say.
She grew so much imo, in her time on the island. She showed more remorse for past actions than virtually any other survivor and her 'dead inside' speech showed how confused she felt about the way she'd tried to ease her pain over losing the baby. I think her character could have been utilised so much further.

She was so brave, intelligent and fiesty as well as being so absolutely gorgeous as a bonus!

I think that one of her lasting points might have been how she changed Sawyer. After her canoodling with him and her death he began to open up more, showing his vulnerability to Jack when he declared him the closet thing that he had to a friend.

And she stopped Sayid shooting Ben - you gotta love her for that (well I do anyway :P)
