Ana was an ok in terms of character but she was not very nice IMO.

and yes she shot Shannon. Imagine if she had shot and killed Sawyer?

Ah. No. 'Fiesty' is never a good character outline. She was undeniably one of my least favourite characters in Lost. I disliked her fairly intensely really, and from the off (using bereavement as a tool to flirting is just not terribly attractive), but you already knew that. I enjoyed very little of her screen time... I didn't even love to hate her type thing. Basically I found her an obnoxious schoolyard bully type with no manners and some pretty fundamental character flaws (like getting people to be quiet by kicking them in the face and throwing people into pits where they can be very easily broken). I couldn't be doing with the monotonous portrayal either. All that spitting.

And I don't buy the idea that a character who declared herself uncapable of committing murder and then immediately became an accessory to one has in any sense redeemed herself, so I don't think she wound up converted to any real sense of goodness either. I approved of her twice: when she talked to Ben instead of torturing him and got the information they needed, and when she acknowledged her own unlikeability (I was also amused by the irony of her saying she tried hard to 'make people like her', which is very different from trying to making yourself likeable: I imagine it went 'like me or I'll kick you in the face again'). Otherwise, no. Didn't like her and didn't find her a good character.

More like her than not so far Haelle. That's the whole point of these threads - to gauge what opinions really are (and to prove that it isn't just Beachy and JB who liked Sawyer)
