Anyone else sense the possible plot development with Sawyer and Juliet (stranded together on the moving island) developing somekind of relationship?

Even through Jules' grief at the possibility of Jack being dead (from the boat explosion) and Sawyer's grief at the possibility of Kate being dead (from the boat explosion)..there's a slight chemistry between them. And a bottle of rum

Ha, you know me too well This is a wonderful thread, and I have so much to say, so we might be here for a while. Also, it's been a sunny day of garden partying, so yeah...

From sort of mid-season 3 I've kinda had a thing for Sawyer and Juliet. Originally, the idea came from "Aww, wouldn't they be beautiful together" and then at the end of season three, well, boy did that change. I think if nothing else, Sawyer and Juliet might have a brilliant friendship. I think their teasing, almost flirting, attitudes towards each other would be a fun thing to explore.

As for a relationship, I think as the above have suggested, something could happen purely because of the bottle of rum and they're both looking for comfort.

However, I think depending on how long the two of them are alone together this will influence which way their relationship goes. I imagine anger and lots of arguing and them both being bitter about being left behind. However, I think eventually one of them will break, perhaps cry, and the comfort begins (gets an idea for a fic).

On a selfish level, I'd love to see them together, but whether it would work in the long run, I'm not so sure. I think, as mentioned, it would be filled with arguments - but heck, there's nothing wrong with a good passionate relationship.

If Claire doesn't disappear from next season, do you think there's a possibility Sawyer and Claire can get together? He was being very protective towards her in the last few shows.

Perhaps Claire reminds him of his long lost girlfriend who had his daughter. Or do you think Sawyer was just being protective towards Claire because she was snatched in the past by the Others?

Lol, but on a serious note, I could see a Sawyer/Claire relationship, however, perhaps not a romantic one. Miles mentioned something about Sawyer protecting Claire like a big brother, and so perhaps this is the role Sawyer will take if Claire is still around?

I for one cannot see Claire with Sawyer. She seems to young for him. I can however see Juliet with Sawyer. Could you imagine how beautiful their children would be?

Juliet reminds me of myself alot. I could see myself with Sawyer, so why not Juliet. I would like to see it happen.

Yeah I think it could happen, I hope so because it's about time those two got a bit of love back. If we start off next season and it's set, (what's the latest time we've seen off island? Is it 2007?) so say its 3 years down the line, I think it's going to be so incredible to see how relationships have developed/ been destroyed... Imagine if rose and bernard got an on-Isand divorce I would love to see the expression on Kate's face if she returned to find Sawyer with Jules, it would be priceless, and I'm one of her fans!

I'd love to see a Claire / Sawyer relationship, especially after this season... It could happen

I could definatley see Sawyer and Juliet together next season, even if it's just because of the absence of Jack and Kate and their reactions to the boat being destroyed. The bottle of rum would help too

I think Sawyer and Claires relationship is more brother/sisterly then anything romantic. I don't want Juliet and Sawyer to get together it would be to confusing. Did Sawyer and Ana Lucia get it on at one point or was it a nasty trick to steal his gun I can't remember

Thinking about it..I think Juliet's too mature for Sawyer..I think that she only likes so-called "educated" men like Goodwin, Jack and Edmund. I actually think she's a bit of a snob

Not knocking education - i'm educated..but I would never only go for someone cos they fit a certain criteria education-wise, where's I think Jules would.

I could be wrong about her, but that's my honest opinion.

This, I kinda agree with. I do think Juliet looks for a certain type of man, who outwardly appears to be socially high and very intelligent.

However, I think if she was stuck on the island with Sawyer for a long period of time she'd begin to see that he's actually a lot more intelligent and well read than people give him credit for.

Also, I'm desperate for the pair of them to start their own book club
