I was going to bring up "Carte Blanche" but I think, for once, I won't. I use that point too much . Exactly, unlike Jack, Sawyer has no way of proving his intelligence unless you let him show you.

Perhaps, over time, Sawyer and Jules will come to respect each other through their intelligence and their love of books?

Sawyer changed and I'd love him in a serious relationship. He loves Kate but she is too insecure.

If Sawyer would say "He knows where to find me" , Ben would be in danger. Jack said it but nothing happened. He left her on the island and he thought Ben would still be there.
Even if Juliet ist "just" a friend, he should do more to save her.

I think it's funny: Jack talks and he didn't do anything and Sawyer is rejecting everyone but when he has to, he saves his friends.

I'd like Juliet to feel that. Friends or lovers , I don't care but she deserves something good. They have a lot in common. They had a good chemistry when they rescued Sayid,Bernard and Jin ("For the Aliens"). Finally a woman who is joking with him.

I could totally see that. I forgot that they both share a love for books. They actually have alot in common if you think about it. Books, they are both quick-witted and stuck on an island together. Not to mention they both like to walk out of the ocean half naked.

I like to think that Jules is not a snob. She probably chose the men she did because she was exposed to them in her everyday life. I do believe that couples need to be on the same or about the same intellectual level in order to be somewhat compatible. Sawyer is very intelligent, hes just not white collar.

The Jack/Juliet thing finished when Juliet was sewing Jack up after the appendectomy. You remember Juliet said some things to Kate about Jack kissing her; but she knew he was only trying to prove he didn't love someone else (Kate). She also knew Jack could hear what she was saying to Kate because he had come out of the anaesthesia.

So he didn't have to protect Juliet from Ben cos their little 'thing' ended just before he left the island.

Presumably Ben thought Juliet would leave the island too or he was too busy grieving for his daughter and fighting Keamy to worry about his: "Juliet is my woman" fixation!

I don't think "saving" someone has to be about a sexual relationship. Sawyer went back to get Hurley and they are not in love. I know that Jack is in love with Kate but Juliet was a friend . He protected her and he kissed her. She saved his life. He wasn't thinking about her at all or it didn't look like he was trying to save her. It would be sad if he lied about everything (Ben knows where to find me).

I wish Juliet finds someone who is caring about her. If Sawyer is the one in the future, it would be great.

She saved him for a change by taking his appendix out. I think it's good that other characters get to do the saving once in a while.

True, it was good to see someone looking after Jack. I get the feeling that he needs looking after, even though he wont let anyone.

Thinking about it, I am slightly disspointed in Jack..as referenced above, he appeared to make certain "promises" to Juliet..and whilst I doubt Ben loves Juliet, Jack did appear to make commitments to her..yet he didn't waste any time getting onboard the chopper did he

Perhaps their 'thing' did end after the appendectomy, but even so..why make promises you can't keep?

That said, I hope Sawyer stays clear of Jules. If he isn't good enough for Kate in the real world..up against all those 'world class surgeons'..then he surely will only get hurt by Juliet, who gets through her men like Smokey got through O-town in 4.09.

Juliet let Jack off the hook because she knew Jack really loved Kate. Me being a woman I can tell you that most women would let a man off the hook rather than have a man with you who would sooner be with someone else.

Jack only got close to Juliet because I think he knew she liked him (it soothed his damaged ego) and he thought that Kate was going to be an item with Sawyer.

You have to look at this situation from a woman's viewpoint. Plus Juliet has been really heroic letting Kate know what the score is re Jack's feelings towards her.

Juliet has been a good and cool woman.

I'm not sure what to believe about these two. If they get together I think it'll be due to the loss of Jack and Kate, kind of like a comfort thing, like when jack kissed Juliet. I could be wrong though.

I think Sawyer and Juliet getting together (if only briefly) is 1) predictable 2) a good thing. I'm getting real tired of the 'love triangle' that is Jack Kate and Sawyer - it's become real stale and an element I never liked in LOST. It really put me off S3. So I think Sawyer getting together with any-one that isn't Kate (and mistreats and uses him the way Kate has done) is a good thing.

I also don't believe Sawyer really loves Kate in the real sense, I believe he has feelings for her but not love. The one time we did see him in love was with the woman he reluctantly conned (and got pregnant). It would be nice if he did really hit it off with Juliet and that they did end up getting close. As for Kate, I think she just wants her cake. It would really make me happy to see the look on her face if she ever found out that Sawyer had moved on and found some-one else.

So we were discussing romantic possibilities on the island since the O6 left. With all the supposed bad things that have been happening on the island during the three years since the O6 left, do you think the 'bad things' would have encouraged or discouraged romantic feelings?

I remember at the end of the film Speed, the Sandra Bullock character says that intense situations encourage people to make connections (or words to that effect).

We've been concentrating on Juliet and Sawyer; but do you think Charlotte and Daniel might have got together also (assuming his raft found the island again).

How about Ben? If he can't return to the island that means Juliet doesn't need protecting from him by Jack, Sawyer, or anyone else.

I think Saywer would be up for it but im not about Juliet though if she does spend time with him like Beach Crew Said then she probably would start to like him.

If it does happen i wont be able to wait till season 6 to see Kate back on the Island and See Saywer with Juliet

I got the impression that Ben is over Juliet. He certainly wouldn't harm her, imo.
