..This was Sawyer's line to Jack after he (Jack) reminds him that the chopper is the only way off the island.

Methinks this is another subtle shout out to 'time-loops', since broken records 'repeat' certain parts of a song (loop?) over and over again. Are Jack and co destined to repeat certain chapters of their lives over and over again - perhaps when Jack opens his eye in the pilot episode, it isn't the first 'time' that he's experienced this loop?

Young Locke's meeting with Alpert in Cabin Fever could also give this some more leverage, seeing as Alpert's question - "which one of these things belongs to you already", could just as easily refer to time-loops as it could reincarnation.

Not a new idea, but I thought it was worth pointing out that we have yet another possible loop reference.

Just before Sawyer says to Jack that he sounds like a broken record, he also mentions the fact that Jack going off in the jungle with the transmitter is like deja vu. We received two time loop messages in one scene.

Good point - they've enjoyed their self-referencing this season, I've lost count of how many we've had - it certainly ties in with the time-loop idea, as you say.
