I loved the scene between Sun and her father when she confronts him in his office. At one point, Sun asks him a question about what those men before her were doing there and daddy blows her off saying its business and she wouldn't understand. What a perfect time for Sun to inform her dad that she just bought his business out from underneath his nose. So much for Sun not understanding anything about business.

I'm wondering though...If Sun indeed owns a large portion of Paik Industries now, wouldn't that somehow involve her in the whole Widmore/DharmaInitiative/Paik Ind. thing. If Paik Ind. is somehow involved with all of this island business, that would put Sun right back in the middle of it, but on the other side, wouldn't it? Will this eventually help the 06 get back to the island?

Great point KF! I agree that Paik has connections with Dharma and Widmore.. now that Sun has a holding take this could be the way which facilitates her/their journey back to the island, as you said.

I also loved this scene..for once I was on Sun's side and it felt good to watch the iron fist of Paik melt whence he stood

Thinking some more about this -

What i'm wondering is how much exactly did Oceanic pay the O6? I mean from what Sun said about buying a controlling stake in Paik Ind. it would seem as though it's millions or something. Now multiply that by six..have Oceanic really got, say, $40-50 million to give to the O6 - not to mention the money that they must have had to pay out in legal/PR etc costs..?

Back in the early days one of my theories was that Oceanic was actually owned by someone integral to the story. I guess if someone like Widmore was a silent owner, id would explain why and how Oceanic have so much money to throw around.

I know the aviation industry is MEGA bucks, but even a $40-50m loss would hit a player like Oceanic..

I hope they tell us exactly how much each person was given..and does Aaron count as a payee? Which means Kate's effectively got his money too!
