Wow, how brave of Ben to hand himself over like that in order to buy Locke and Hurley time to 'move the island'! Of course he's got a plan and is not simply walking in there blind - perhaps he wants to make up for his error the last time he tried to buy time (Alex's death)?
Anyway, how do you suppose Ben is going to handle Team Keam? His magic stick, perhaps? Will he talk his way out of trouble? Or perhaps Jacob will send 'help'? Any ideas ![]() Personally i'm hoping his whoops mercenary butt with that stick of his ![]()

For once I figured something out ahead of the game. I knew the minute Hurley said to Ben "If we move the island, won't the bad guys move too?" that Ben was going to give himself to Keamy. Ben knew that the only way those guys were going to leave the island was if they had him with them. Turning himself in was the only way to get them off of it.
It was very bold of Ben, but Ben always is pretty bold. How is he going to get out of this one though? We know that they won't kill him, but where will they take him? I personally think the Others are going to come and save the day in a most spectacular way. They are going to "Light em Up"!!

Good shout. Do you think Ben's just going to leave with them though? Not sure myself
..I think his plan might consist of nixing the mercenaries. But I do think your idea is possible.Yeah, Ben's a very brave man - he always puts himself in the firing line..the only time he hid was when Keamy killed his daughter - I think he's going to ensure that he never lapses again. Yeah I think Ben's little signal to the hilltops could well have been for Alpert and friends. Ben seems to be very confident in doing his part of the job - I hope Locke AND Hurley (cos I think Hugo IS needed there, despite what Locke told him) can do theirs. I woul LOVE another "Liiight em Uuuup! moment". Can we make sure that happens, please!? ![]()

Been thinking about this.
The thing is, we know Ben doesn't die..he knows that Keamy wont kill him..so really Ben still has an advantage. Of course you never quite know with variables - as he found out with Keamy killing Alex - but I think that Ben will talk his way out of his current predicament. What will be interesting to me is whether Ben will move with the island, or be trapped somewhere..or leave for the real world with the O6 - does he prep them and help them to Sumba, before going back to the island, or the real world by himself? Interestingly I recently noticed that Ben gives Locke his baton/stick..yet we see Ben with the baton in the future when he 'teleports' to Tunisia (4.09). So we can assume that Ben and Locke come into contact again at somepoint.. is this symbolic of Ben reclaiming the 'torch' after all but passing it over to Locke in "Cabin Fever" - does Locke make a mess of things after being so near to reaching his 'destiny'? I don't think I could bear another Locke collapse..but then, I relish any Ben ascension.

A Locke collapse is far from impossible ... we still don't know why Hurley told Jack he regretted having gone with Locke, so something still has to go partially wrong in that camp (though not wholly - Hurley still wanted to go back to the island).
