Keamy and Gang are on their way back to the island to "torch" it. I liked the writers choice of words here. I am pretty certain that Keamy himself is wired to explode. While Captain Gaunt (RIP) had him at gunpoint, he displayed the device and proclaimed, "You dont want to do that". I dont think he would have said that if it was just the detonator.

These guys have a new agenda. They are now on a suicide mission and the only way to stop it is for Locke to move the island. WWHHAATTT?

Keamy was pretty wicked in this episode and not in the good way. I cannot believe that he shot Gaunt. This man is a Terminator. I cannot wait until we say good-bye (or asta la vista) to him.

Yeah I'm thinking it's a bomb of some kind. When Gault said that Keamy might have the sickness, I'm thinking that he was right. Perhaps his orders were to kill everyone on the island, but I doubt Widmore would want him to torch it. His men are obviously just going along with him (as a lot of soldiers do go along with their leaders for a while even after they've gone completely doo-lally tap) but some of them might have it themselves.

And yeah, Jack! Stupid eeejut! I bet Frank will phone them in the morning and be all like 'hide'! I love Frank now

Yeah, I too liked the writers choice of words, KF - not because i want the island to be destroyed of course, but because it really upped the stakes and confirmed the extent to which Team Keam and Widmore are prepared to go to. I don't think it's been hinted to such a degree that Widmore wants the island 'destroyed'..that's just wow..and why..why does he want to destroy it? In 4.09 he tells Ben that the islnd was his and always was..why is/was he prepared to "torch it". Incidentally i guess the reason why Widmore cannot find it (4.09) is because Locke and co managed to move it

Back to the main point - yeah, it looks as if Keamy is prepared to give his life by blowing himself and the island up -but does he really have that much explosive to accomplish that? I mean the island's a pretty big place - i'll need to grab a screenie of that device on his arm before i comment any further, but wow..Lost just continues to blow my socks off!

I KNOW!!! What a ruthless git. First what he did to the doctor, then the Captain, not to mention how he assaulted Michael (and would've killed him also if it were not for the island). Why do all the good characters have to get killed off??? The captain for instance revealed he was not so bad afterall, as did the freighters - which was my initial judgement of them. There are levels of cammand and need to know basis. The captain was there on a rescue mission (I think thats what he said) and the freighters r there for scientific reasons, Frank for piloting. However, Keamy and co are definitely more sinister. I will be happy when he gets bumped off - but the writers seem intent on getting rid of any decent characters - AL, Eko, Rouseau and now the captain!!! All of whom I feel had a lot more to give and whom we did not fully learn about - oh yeah also Libby! When are we gonna get her connection with Hurley???

And then nasty pieces of work like Keamy get to survive the smoke monster
