...is what Kate told Jack she was out doing: that she was doing something for Sawyer, because she had promised him. According to Jack Sawyer made his choice and decided to stay, so it seems that Kate speaks with Sawyer again before she gets off the island and asks her to do something, but what?

My first guess is something to do with Cassidy and Clementine, but whatever it is, why can't she tell Jack about it? (Kate tells Jack she won't tell him what it is because Sawyer wouldn't want her to). So maybe Sawyer didn't specifically tell her not to tell Jack, but Kate just thinks it's a good idea to keep her future husband in the dark.

Ah I think when Jack walked out after that arguement that was the end of it there and then. Although I don't get why he'd be so upset about it Fair enough he was drunk but he knew about the whole Skate episode and so what if she does a favour for him? It's not as if she's flying off to the island every other day to shack up with Sawyer

But yeah I think it's probably to do with Cassidy and Tangerine, although it'll be weird when Kate meets her and realises she already knows her

This moment worried me, i must admit...mainly because i'm scared that Sawyer is dead :S i know Jack said that Sawyer had made his choice and stayed...but he was drunk and probably wasn't thinking straight. The way Kate was talking kind of sounded like Sawyer was dead...ahh i dont know. Bloody hope not. It's just that what she's been asked to do is possibly a 'death promise'...you know, like "When i'm gone, promise me you'll do this..." blah blah blah.
Anyway, yeah i reckon what S asked K to do is definately something to do with Cassie and *ahem* Tangerine. Kate was talking to someone on the phone...Cassie??? Yeah, it would be weird if they met up and realised they knew each other! If this is what Kate's doing, it is probably something like S passing on the message to Cass that he is still alive, etc etc...so Kate didn't tell Jack because she knows Jack wont let her tell anyone that there are other survivors? Who knows...

Yeah, I think it was something to do with Cassidy and Satsuma Phillips. it does sound as if Sawyer could be dead and she has been keeping tabs on Cassidy and Satsuma for him (dying request?) - afterall, Kate knows Cassidy, so her friendly chatter with her on the phone would make sense.

I can totally understand Jack's angst though - she's abusing his trust, again. But he's only got himself to blame, cos why shack up with someone like her, especially when he knows what she's like

EDIT: Eitherway, this petty much would rule Sawyer out ofthe coffin. Not that many of us think that he's the coffin man..but it's good to rule him out.

I think it's possible, if even from the grave Sawyer can affect Kate to such an extent that she keeps secrets from Jack..I think that would drive him crazy. It's a bit like her choosing Sawyer over him. Jack is very envious and possessive..in some ways I think a dead Sawyer causing Kate to run around behind Jack's back would be worse than if he was/is still alive.

It's almost as if Jack is being haunted from every which way..by Aaron and the memory of his sister..by Christian and possibly by Sawyer - not literally, but in the sense that Kate is still holding on to him and doing stuff for him.
